That's not even getting into taking the Metro at face value in terms of ranking players. The Telegraph isn't much better.

Fact of the matter is that for £50m you can buy 95% of players in Europe. The chances of there not being a better buy than Gylfi out there are so, so slim. It's possible of course, but...so unlikely.

Name one in the same position not playing for a club qualified for the CL (because they won't come) that would be a better cheaper option? It's easy in theory, in truth players of Sigurdssons quality are harder to find that is realised. Punting on young or foreign players who might make the step up/transition to the Premiership is a huge gamble, we should make these gambles but as well as proven players not instead of.

but with a better midfield in front of him he may start to look a bit better with a bit more protection. He's still pretty young for a CB, i'll give him another season before i want him fired off.

ANY of the others would need replacing, I cant see us selling another 6 players.

The premier league is a big draw...quite a lot of stars have joined sides who don't even have Europe.

Maybe Walsh realises that he may have been a one season wonder. He has been at Leicester 4 seasons and had the one great season (when there must have been something in the whole teams shreddies or Kante won it for them single handedly)
