Hard to see what the hold up is now.
We know they want £50m, or a package totalling that. Everton have known it for weeks. You would have thought if its £45m + add-ons + player, then we would have made what we consider to be our best and final offer and told Swansea to take it or leave it.
I can't fathom how we would still be formulating an offer when we have had weeks at this and a crystal clear message from Swansea as to what they will/won't accept. It can't simply be a case of faxing an offer and getting a rejection fax back 5 minutes later. For a deal of this size, surely senior board members/executive management at both clubs have at least had significant video conference discussions, if not an actual face to face meeting.
And by the way, the media coverage of this who thing has been absolutely pitiful. Just the same old reheated "close" rubbish day in day out. Clearly nobody has bothered to dig beneath the surface a bit and see what is actually going on.
Being cynical at this stage, I wonder if Koeman was playing games with his comments on Sunday, to try and put pressure on internally to move this along. At the moment it seems to suit both camps to sit on this and do nothing. That's the only conclusion I can draw at this point.
How do you all manage to keep finding scruff to post about in this thread lol
How are people so arsed about us signing him ? He's decent player but we're going to finish 7th regardless of if we sign him or not.

because if we were minded to compromise we would have done so by now, three more weeks and maybe five miilion off the price? Moshiri may well feel that's worth doingWhy are we? - honestly we're do people
Get there own theory's from its utterly mind boggling

My guess ( and it is only that as not ITK ) based on the history of this matter and the recent comments of the 2 managers is that a deal is done between the 2 clubs but Swansea will not proceed until they sign a replacementHard to see what the hold up is now.

If he signed today I don't think he'd be fit enough to play on Saturday. Stoke players would be instructed to target Siggy he'll end up injured.Well no because the season starts Saturday.
Five million quid is a lot of anyone's money, anyway we've not met their valuation for whatever reasonWell no because the season starts Saturday.

You're hitting top form today Dave.
awaits the fallout..
Yeah mate Begovic is that good he's ended up at heady heights of Bournemouth and Chelsea have replaced him with Caballero.
What a ringing endorsement of his ability - on both counts.
