£40m Bid Made For Sigurdsson

Seeing as Swansea have bid for Joe Allen and some other CM, seems clear to me a Siggy deal has been agreed or at least accepted in the Swansea boards head. Announcement tomorrow mark my words

50 mil  ridiculous , the other lot turn down 90 mil , the bubble will most surely burst .
It will never burst per se. But money will totally lose its value like what happened in pre WWII Germany or modern day Zimbabwe and Venezuela . So a football player might soon cost 100,000,000,000,000 pounds. And that is just a bit of paper the Bank of England prints like wallpaper.
If all the transactions were forced to be made and settled in real assets, eg gold, land etc, then the prices would return to normal overnight.

You mean like:
Lukaku's fee = 5 sheep, 10 chickens and a cow.
Niasse's fee = 4 jars of pickled beetroot and a small tin of Heinz beans (expired)

Sigurdsson would still be a six chickens and a loaf of bread too much.

As for Barkely, looks like only one goose has been discussed so far!

Swansea’s Paul Clement tips Fernando Llorente to stay and plans new signings
• Clement targets new signings to counter impending exit of Sigurdsson

On Sigurdsson:

As for Sigurdsson, Clement expects a replacement or two – Wilfried Bony and Nacer Chadli are on the club’s shortlist – to arrive swiftly once a fee with Evertonis agreed.

“I’m as confident as I can be from my talks with the owners and the chairman that if this goes through, that we’re ready to go,” Clement said. “But what you can’t do is control the decision-making of the other club. We’ve got a good idea of what players are going to cost. So we’re as ready as we can be.”
