The thing I keep thinking about is what it would be like to be a fan of a club where I am content with the direction of it.

I find myself listening to every Everton podcast and youtube channel going this year because I am so disillusioned with things and I want to hear other fans' perspectives or the latest news in the hope that I will see a glimmer of change.

If I were a Man City fan or something at the minute, I reckon I might listen to the odd bit of news here and there but ultimately, I'd know my club was being run well and just focus all my energy on the actual game. By the time it gets to the match, I am usually exhausted with the amount of fume I have gone through during the week.

Not sure what listening to fan podcasts or watching YouTube channels to achieve in making you feel better about Everton. They're all just spouting opinions. None of them actually have any insider information and they aren't agents of change. It's often wildly speculative and informed by opinion, ego and bias rather than any real knowledge. Like how some on here will tell you what's wrong at Finch Farm or what DBB does in her role.

And then there's the one's who want to make a name for themselves and dream of being the Everton equivalent of Arsenal Fan TV or that fat, bald Irish kopite who kits his mam's basement out like a Poundland Sky Sports studio and shills for YouTube money.

I've a feeling that even if the club was being ran well you'd still be finding something to be disillusioned with. There are plenty of fans of successful well ran clubs that spend all day getting angry about something to do with their club - whether it's what they're doing wrong or what other clubs are doing or how they perceive the way they're treated in the media.

The club aren't responsible for the focus you put on it or how much energy you expend on being angry or disillusioned about it. That's solely down to you. This isn't me having a go at you in particular btw, just an observation on sports fandom in general.

I think I know what you mean in some respect. I am just looking to hear that others are as annoyed as I am half the time to keep me sane.

On the point of annoying YouTubers who wanna be famous, there is one I had to unsubscribe from because of his manufactured “rants” that were just after clicks and he clearly wanted to go viral with everyone saying “look at this Everton fan lose his head”

It’s a tough ask as the fan base is clearly fractured. As much as i respect what those behind the 27 years strategy are doing , a walk out during a match isn’t something I would of started with.

Having said that it did do a good job of raising awareness particularly in the mainstream media and rather tellingly there was a few rattled fellow blues.

What stands out to me was the talk of respect between fans for their stance on what’s going on , I’m not seeing respect from some in all honesty. It’s easy to give fans stick online isn’t it and shouting stern abuse from your seat isn’t exactly going to ease matters either.

I chose the vote with the wallet approach which I know won’t happen in droves, to me it was the only avenue given what’s gone on over the years.

I just said it in the Digne thread but I think its worth saying again as you can't go on Twitter without coming across some new campaign.

As a fanbase, we are unhappy that the club seems to lack cohesion and a direction. However, as a fanbase we have the same lack of cohesion ourselves. It seems there is a new campaign every week whether it be the 27 years campaign, the communication campaign or a campaign to get better scran at the new stadium.

I am not saying those campaigns dont have merit and are not put together by good blues who have the best interests of the club at heart. What I am saying is that the leaders of all those campaigns need to come together and launch one consolidated campaign with a clear set of principles or manifesto that everyone can get behind. Otherwise we will continue to see things like the 27 years campaign falling a bit flat like it did a few weeks ago.

There is definitely a need for a campaign of some sort so we can get answers but multiple, fractured campaigns is not the way to go about it in my view.
How about a campaign to support the team ? Not a bad start .

I know this is a very Liberal site , which Is completely fine.
Normal circumstances would suggest that we wouldn't need a protest etc.

This isn't Normal, this isn't even close to normal. We are heading for the exit door. Forget aspirations, Forget ambition, Forget Hope.

The place we are going doesn't require any of that, it just requires your lumbering support, which is afforded each outing.

Without any disconsern or Without any objection we are close to becoming "leeds" or "villa" or worse Sunderland.

This can't come more from the heart than it already does but if we don't act now as fans. Forget the stadium and the multi accounts on here. We are nothing!

Nothing for your kids! Nothing for you !

Nothing full stop !

I want a campaign to stop booing during the game and abusing the team. I rather not have booing of any sorts but if you really want to do it, do it after the game. Booing and abusing the team helps the team how?

Fans are like the ultimate Boss who are having a 365 degree surveillance on the mediocre staff. Like those defenders, they knew they have made mistakes, and sometimes they want to perform better too. But they are low on confidence, go absolute panic mode while their manager distrusted them, their big Boss "scolded" them by booing them consistently on the pitch. I will also kick the ball as far as possible if I were the CB on the pitch, that earning me extra seconds of comfort.

Imagine you are DCL, having a fantastic start. Started in 4 games (3W1D) and scored 3 goals already. Took a sick leave. While he return, the company's atmosphere became so hostile and toxic, new staff like Mykolenko could listen the big Boss "scolding" his manager or other colleagues consistently.

Imagine you are Mina, 7 games he played, 4W2D1L, just one loss. He didn't take part in these disastrous 1 in 12 run. Why should he be "scolded" like the others? I know, the big Boss not booing him, but others. But what's the difference if you are working in a closed area that you can hear everything.

Big Boss, we all know you need results. But you can do it after day time (after final whistle). It won't do them any good if you pressurized and intimidated them right at the moment support and encouragement are desperately needed.

They felt lucky because the next game is an away game. Imagine it's a home game. They will all even be frightened to even get on the field. That's an European night hostility you can ever experience after all these years. But sorry to the lads, you are on an away match that day. Get ready for the 90-min torture, kiddo! :D
