scholes, riquelme, gravesen, parker, reo-coker, fabregas, fernandes, all play 'that' role in the middle dictating the play and making the passes releasing players down either side.
I'd say we could stumble through another season without 'this' vital player if we were to address the huge void that is the left mid berth.
'How can that be?' i hear you ask, 'if that role is so vital how can we do without?' well, take the burden off artetas right mid by having an equal provider on the left, and stretch opposing teams, fill the middle with bruisers that can 'lock down' the opposition spearheaded by cahill who bombs forward into the spaces johnno makes.

it will upset the purists that dont like 'the life being squeezed out of a game' but im interested in results first, we can play 'joined up football' when we can afford to buy and pay the kind of quality players that are head and shoulders above those playing for the opposition.
having two defensive midfielders on will alleviate pressure from the defence, and its no coincidence that last season a tighter defence took pressure off the midfield and attack knowing that such a solid unit was working so well to restrict the opposition meaning that heads dont drop if a chance is missed, chances keep coming and the team isnt conceding.

I really think If monday comes again and still no names, we might just do the unthinkable and not get anyone...
Maybe, moyes is thinking, during the CL campaign, new faces came in, popular faces went out and it took us ages to get going, maybe just maybe he thinks it will better to charge into the season with the same squad and then purchase in January...

Richardson I'm not so sure about (wouldn't want his cousin anywhere near goodison!!) because he hasn't played much football at utd but he is a fringe England player and I think it could be worth a chance if we got him cheap.
It would appear, that IF we got smith and richardson that this rooney deal was a bit bigger than most think.

Nope - he's moving too smoothly and not leaning on anyone.
One down with jags maybe this could be true! I for one wouldnt be dissappointed if we ended up with the all the players for the 17m we are talking about- Bring it on!!!!!!
