You never watched the video did you. Farage never mentioned muslims once, he was just saying that if he was in charge he'd scrap the law saying you can't discriminate while hiring people based on skin colour.

No, I didn't I was on my phone and I read the Title 'fifth Column' and thought it was about the fifth column that he spoke about a while ago.

You: Nonsense

Everyone else: LOL

How is it nonsense then.

Sounds like a pretty racist view to me.

British jobs for British people, what's wrong with that? It's what Gordon Brown said.

No, let's get this right - you said you wanted freedom to insult (NOT criticise - there is a difference) idealogies. Quite how you insult an idealogy is anyone's guess as an idealogy is inanimate.

I didn't mention ANYTHING about islamists or islamaphobia, did I? So WHY make out any faux outrage on my part when I didn't express any whatsoever?

As for these so-called 'scroungers' Show me where they can claim all sorts without working or showing that they're NOT looking for work & I'll become one myself.

You CAN'T because of the CONDITIONALITY THEY MUST SUBJECT THEMSELVES TO - IN ORDER TO CLAIM BENEFITS.

Until then get your facts right, and stop being a narrow-minded bigot with a siege mentality.

Yes and I just said in my post insult. I can insult any ideology. And you did, you started saying that you will just insult people (conservatives) etc. implying that I want to insult Muslims.

Mate there are definitely scroungers that is all I said. Are you trying to tell me there aren't?

@SNova @Whistlin' Dixie

Lads keep it civil, argue the substance of your arguments, don't resort to name calling etc.

I haven't.

Like the royal family.....the biggest scroungers of all.

Great post, lad.

;)

Implying I like the Royal family.
Implying they don't also bring in income.

Well, you are the one banging on about scroungers bring people who would rather live on state handouts than do a day's work.

So I see whst you mean.....there is no reason for you to like them.

However your second sentence displays a serf's mentality and shows your true colours.

His majority us effectively 13 thanks to Sinn Fein still fighting the wars of a century ago and refusing to take their seats.

Is it not more, there are 4 Sinn Fein MPs! so my count is a majority of 16, add to that almost certainly the DUP will vote with them on many a polcy, plus the one UKIP.

I'd get rid of them in a heartbeat, but they bring money into the country. If they bring more in than they take out, that's the only reason why I'd keep them.

If Farage was to revoke the discrimation in hiring laws, it would be legal to advertise for a post and say 'whites only'. That's not british people only, that's whites only.

I think it's hard to argue that isn't somewhat racist.

I thought they had a majority of nine......which would rise to thirteen given the four SF absentees.

But if his majority is twelve then sixteen is indeed the effective majority.

Dan Jarvis had a heck of a Military career and is not part of the Oxbridge clique, could he really be the kind of "new" leader, Labour need?

British jobs for British people, what's wrong with that? It's what Gordon Brown said.

Brown was trying to ensure that there was no prejudice against British workers through jobs being advertised solely to oversees workers when making that statement. For what it is worth I think he made a mistake with how it was phrased.

Farage on the other hand wants to discriminate based on nationality or skin colour, ignoring suitability/ability to a the job. This view is obnoxious, racist and xenophobic and makes me sick. Bearing in mind that I told you earlier my wife is a French Muslim, she has a Masters degree, a cracking CV and her contribution to our local community through the charity work she does is immense. She is fluent in French, English and Spanish. If she were to apply for a job suited to someone with her background and skills, do you think that she should be passed over purely due to her..........

a) Nationality? - Yes or No?
b) Skin colour? - Yes or No?
c) Religion? - Yes or No?

Can't wait for your answers.
