Defacing World War II monuments and throwing things at policemen?

The revolution is near, comrades.
Surely that was the minority doing that though? There seemed to be a lot of people, the majority of people have the sense not to do that and protest peacefully

It wasn't an anti-Tory win in 2015 sleight as such just a general observation. The same situation was true in 2001 and 2005. This time, 15m people didn't vote for whatever reason and of those who did, 63.2% didn't want a Tory govt. That can't be healthy.

PR would not necessarily have resulted in a Tory/UKIP coaliton because a different electoral system would have been in place. Apples and pears, eh?

On the night of the election when it finally dawned on Labour that the exit polls were correct, we had an ex Home Secretary, Charles Clarke, saying that with an alternative voting system deals could have been worked out between parties before the election.......I could not believe the lengths these people will go to to avoid the electorate and keep themselves in power......Latin American politics at it's worse......

First past the post is a bit [Poor language removed], but for some reason it works well in the UK and most of the time, produces stable and moderate governments.

It preserves the status quo and hinders innovation and new thinking, it is innately small c conservative. Who else in the world uses it?

Similarly, the Conservatives love FPTP because it tends to keep them in power or forces the Labour to become their liberal wing. Will they ever change the electoral system of their own volution? Of course not.
