Heard an interesting question the other day, What happens if England votes no and Scotland votes yes to the EU?

They have always had it but now they have politicians in Sturgeon and the other weasel who can milk it......
There's something to this. If @daylightrobber and I can both agree that you sound like you could be a decent choice, that must say something because we've disagreed on everything else in this thread so far!You ever thought of getting more involved?
wherever you have socialist government that's what you get. There are some good individuals but the free market helps to prevent this cronyism.I come from a shithole of a town that has been Labour since the days of Jesus, and I saw a lot of relative poverty, a lot of poor housing and a lot of antisocial behaviour. I also saw absolutely nothing done about it by the Labour government or the Labour council. The only time Labour seemed to care was local/general elections... funny that.
I quickly came to realise that the Labour party is a party that stands up for nobody but themselves. The poor are seen as nothing more than a guaranteed vote to many of them.
Now, I'm not saying the Tories are any better, on many issues I profoundly disagree with them.
My conclusion was Labour aren't the answer and neither are the Tories.
Any protest like that would serve as nothing more than to provide something for moderate and fair-minded people to laugh at.
Beyond parody, really.
Turnout at this election was up on the turnout in 2005, despite there also being an increase in total number of people eligible to vote. The same was true in 2005 compared to 2001.How many other grown up nations in the world still use FPTP? Turnouts are going to get lower and lower if voters believe that their vote doesn't matter.

So you simply laugh at people scared to death of what's coming? Sound.

So it should be , Maternity pay is in the firing line. This is a very, very interesting post.
I can't say how much I'd need to be earning if I had a family with three children, because I don't have three children. I can say that as a very recently-married man my wife and I have talked about having children in the future, and we've agreed that we need to save up a bit more first. We live in the southeast and gross about £50k pa between us. Obviously the drop in income that comes when the wife goes on maternity leave is a major concern.
Vote Esk you know it makes sense.... lol

Then if the English vote was overwhelming the UK leaves the EU......you're either in the UK or you're not......the Scots could then leave the UK and join the EU or do whatever they wish.....
