2023/2024 Fixtures

With all these leaks, we will find it hard playing about 5 teams at once lol I would like a so called easier team at Home 1st - like Luton (Though as always there are no easy games -even more so when it's Everton)

Villa at home late sat kick off.
The leak is Villa at home, not Everton. It also has RS away on the opening day but apparently, they requested that of the PL. They source of the leak is a Newcastle fan that tweets and he has a good history of fixture leaks. But as with most things on the Interweb it could be BS, we will no tomorrow

No one knows fixtures mate, till very close to the official time in morning - we have the same rubbish from many every year, that Toon Fan if its the same one admitted he made them up

Can be a double edged sword as promotion teams usually have a brief honeymoon period with continual momentum after going up (Forest beating West Ham in first home game last season and also losing at Villa Park early in 19/20).

Luton or Burnley away would be a massive banana skin early on so hoping to avoid those as ultimately in other parts of the season they have to be winnable away games.

Would be happy with Palace or Wolves at home tbh.

Further to my contributions on this thread - and my long-standing opposition to having the Goodison derby first 11 years in a row (I will never forget, you bent bastards!) - this is my call for the first six games:

Wolves (H) - 12 Aug
Palace (A) - 19 Aug
Burnley (H) - 26 Aug
Brighton (A) - 2 Sep
Liverpool (H) - 16 Sep
Bournemouth (A) - 23 Sep

Like you say as our neighbours have requested the first few games away it is highly likely we will have to play at home on the opening day.

I assume on that basis we are going to have to play at least 3 home games in the first 5 fixtures. Usually we wouldn't play at home during the same weekend as them but clearly we can't play all home games to start with to offset them, so one might get a Saturday game and the other a Monday night until it is back on track.

Derbies will apparently be:
Liverpool v Everton - 21 October
Everton v Liverpool - 16 March

Last day: Arsenal (A)

So what time does the fixtures come out at?

And what time the Everton ones?
9.00am BST. It's usually later but 'Everton' has much less letters than 'Leeds United', 'Leicester City' and 'Southampton' so it takes them far less time to type them out so they're publishing them at 9am this season.
