2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

It’s clear as day now that last summer should have been “Great job keeping us up and dealing with all the deductions, sincerely thank you, here’s your bag of cash, bye. Thanks again. 🤜🤛

Instead we went “Great job keeping us up and dealing with all the deductions, we’ve got you a couple of number 10’s to solve the winger shortage. Crack on.”
Yep absolutely. And at that point it’s a quiet thank you, hope we never see you again type goodbye. Now its toxic as hell and his limitations (which we all knew/expected) are glaring.

Well if you actually look at it, our better players all leave anyway, loads are out of contract, we wouldn’t be going down with an astronomical wage bill and multiple dossers on 5 year £100k a week contracts, our stadium revenue would dwarf basically everyone else in the Championship. So I’d actually say we’re better equipped under new owners to bounce straight back from the Championship than we would’ve been 3 years ago when we still had multiple years on the contracts of Holgate, Keane, Gomes etc to run. That would’ve finished us off.

The fact we’ve been run to a point where this is even a discussion is a disgrace though tbf.
This was exactly what I was referring to last night that relegation this season wouldn't be AS impactful as it happening in 21-22, if we go down we have

- less high earners
- increase in revenue, plus a huge ramp in season ticket earnings in Jan
- new owners who will be motivated to get us back up
- stadium built

I'm not saying it wouldn't be impactful which people tried to twist my post to saying but being more logical about it we would be better placed to return

These December fixtures are horrific. Looking at the fixtures of teams around us they are not the easiest either so maybe we can keep our heads above water especially if we can win tonight. Wolves have the best run of games in December but at the end of the day there are always surprise results especially in the busy Christmas period so who knows

I wonder if we can set a record for gifting a first win for managers who have never managed in the Premier League before? Currently on two this season and counting...
I mean I’m convinced we’ve got the record for strikers breaking goalless streaks , I feel their names could be my specialised subject on mastermind . If the show still exists

The reality is that there are no easy runs of fixtures for teams at the bottom. For sure, some are harder than others, but the teams at the bottom struggle to pick up points regardless.
