2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

I dont know how he kept us up. It was a major effort and a real feather in his hat.

Maybe we should be loyal to him right now?

He did very well last season, no issue from me and that should be noted in his farewell statement from the club.

However last season still had the horrible winter winless run and the same is happening again I'm afraid so I'd rather do something to stop that now than in March.

Well TFG have a decision to make dont they.

Let's see them back or sack this man.

It really is as simple as that.

The feller's job since he arrived has been to get us safe at the same time as not having a net spend.

Do TFG believe someone else can defo do that and save their investment?

Let's see them make a decision...

No. Why apply the Peter Principle?

We should have shaken hands with him last summer - and would have had these owners not done a u-turn and walked away when the club was theirs for the taking.

The Friedkins have a lot of account for in this position they find themselves in. They need to be decisive for a change this weekend.
He was brought in for once reason: to save our PL status. he's done that and will do it again.

As said in another thread: let's see if TFG think they can get a better manager in to do what Dyche has done for two seasons - thus allowing their involvement here at Everton.

I dont think they make any decision to get shut of Dyche. They'd be too 💩 scared of making the wrong choice and crafting their investment AND destroying their relationship with the support base.

Destroying their relationship with the support base?

They currently do not have a relationship - but if they wanted a very positive one, all they have to do is sack the failing manager, get a new guy in, and back him.

If that's beyond them, it doesn't matter what happens from here on in. They won't be improving our fortunes.

It was but wtf is this situation right now, i was in the side to keep him this season. Because tbought would get the reaults but serious wtf is 3 wins all season. Last season has gone explain to me what the hell has he done up to now to deserve keepin this job no shots on targets against f bournemouth and more
Nowhere near good enough

Then their blood would be in the water and fans would know they can bend them to their will.

They'll resist that if possible. Our current league position allows them to let this go on a few more games before they feel they have to act to preserve any credibility they have.

But TFG wont be Moshiri. They wont be at the beck and call of irate fans.

TFG need to hand him a budget for this window. Back him or sack him.

Let's see what way they go.

They have no interest in keeping Dyche, so any decision to remove him will be their own - not the fans'. After all, all they had to do was give him a contract extension or, failing that, make a statement of explicit support when they took over. They didn't.

They were merely waiting for the opportune moment. That moment has now come.

The only question is whether they have their homework done and sourced a replacement. We'll soon find out and will make our judgements of them then.

Who do you replace him with?

Some off the names mentioned over the last couple of days are unattainable. Neither Frank or Iraola leave their current positions to come & why would they? - in time, with steps of progression, then naturally they are obtainable, but not at present.

It does seem that some, probably the majority need an honest acceptance of the current level of the club - the first aim should be to survive, and if the you cannot guarantee that the next guy in is better than the current manager surely you stick, not twist?

Watching the game today Bournemouth has numerous more corners than us. They tried so many different types, short, overloading. One that was worked that Coolk miskicked, we had Ashley Young never renowned as a set piece specialist basically hitting and hoping for the best, never once tried to work and angle. Commentators keep saying we are well drilled and coached, it's absolute nonsense.

You sound ike you're trying to convince yourself not me.

You KNOW Dyche wont be sacked this side of the transfer window shuttting. That'd be my guess...if he's sacked at all.

Im afraid the gallows have been erected a bit prematurely.
