2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

Was about to say in the 1st half Wolves proving that a more excitable manager can indeed come in and make the same players play with more verve and attacking intent. Chances galore. Then they conceded the second, long ball from the keeper, donkey defender isolated against fast winger, tap in.

We’d be better off as it would be easier for a new manager to build on top of our semi solid base and great keeper, just up the risk taking a little bit. Easier than going in to Southampton and Leicester and teaching godawful defenders how to defend.

On the positive...

If Sean Dyche can keep us up when we were 19th with our lowest points total in our history going into Feb, after 11 defeats in 14, then I'm sure whoever comes in can easily do it. After all, apparently our squad is a lot better than that team back then too.

Onwards and upwards.

The squad is dreadful. We might not win any more matches under a new manager. We’ll try to though, and that’s the difference.

Lampard tried that with this squad. Won 12 of 44, losing 24 of them. Fortunately he realised and openly acknowledged he had to park style/what he wanted to do, to try an get results. We didn't improve points per game under him Vs Benitez and crawled over the line.

Forest showing it can be a simple game.

Have a proper number 9, pace on the wings and a top number 10 and you'll be sound.

It's why I wanted us to sign Wood and Gibbs White. Surprised by Elanga though I thought he'd be crap/like Gray for us. Thelwell wanted him as well didn't he?
Woodie is the man - dyches words (probably)
