2024/25 Relegation Thread

Yeah.i think as ive said many times we will end upsafe by the end of the season, which is all that matters, not what we are doing in oct/nov, and the so called tougher games in Dec. Some people just love dramatics every day,all week, every month. it gets pretty tedious and annoying. Yes we all want better, but some saying pretty much every game we will lose it, before its played is pretty ridiculous. quite simply we should have beat the saints, but obviously we didnt and paid for it in the end missing the chances we did

Maybe but let's remember two years back Lampard had about 14 points from the first 12 games (Dyche probably not going to even replicate that) but there were warning signings in some of the games of clinging on for draws and that eventually levelled out spectacularly in that dismal December-January period after the World cup.

This is more likely to be 22/23 than last season imo. One thing that needs to happen now is get Branthwaite back in to just push the defence up a little.

I don't wish to be a doom monger, but it is essential for our survival that at least 3 teams are significantly worse than us. I can't see more than one. This season could be one throw of the relegation dice too many.

I don't understand any complacency about relegation. It's not just an obscure possibility.

If we're under the line after 38 games there won't be anyone saying "But what about their new stadium?'

We've been playing with fire.
1st loss in 6 games and unlucky to lose at that.

We have blocks of games under Dyche where we pick up points then a bigger block of games where we dont.

All in all it's a pattern that'll keep us more than safe.

I hope so but it doesn't take much to blow that off course and it's 2 wins in 10.

We're on track for 34 though.

Lose next week and it's 9 points from 11 so replicated and that's 27 points from 33 games. You're clinging on at that point as we saw in 22/23.

I think people are being lulled into last season where 25-30 points was safety. 22/23 35 points was needed. Ipswich and Southampton are poor but have we not noticed that Leicester are scrapping out a point a game currently, have plenty of top level experience in their squad and have a resilient look about them?

In next two months they'll be plenty of wishing that Wolves don't significantly pick up. If they don't beat Southampton at home next weekend they'll sack O'Neil I'm fairly sure as fans turned on him big time in the second half when he made a triple sub.
