2024/25 Relegation Thread

They were 6 points worse off at this point last season and still finished two places and 8 points below us, they’ve had a good start but they will hit a major slump at some point

Our next 3 away games are Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd. Newcastle at home is our next match. It’s always been important we get points on the board up to now as we have a load of nightmare fixtures coming up.

Any idea when these players are going to start chipping in some of these goals because the last couple of games we don`t look like we do.
You can see how McNeil, Doucoure, Beto, DCL and hopefully Broja when he comes in...and even Keane and Gueye can get a goal or two...will get the goals to fire us out of danger.

Bubbling just above the relegation spots suggests we will have an eye on the teams in the relegation spots, which means we will be thinking about the relegation spots.
Of course we will. But I'd be amazed if we ever fall into the bottom three at any time in the rest of this season.

Again we're praying that there are 3 awful teams, as we are looking very unlikely to get 40 points. If I had to estimate I'd say we'll get about 35, maybe less given our appalling start.
Good job it's around 35-36 needed to stay up then isnt it!. :pint2:

This squad is nowhere near relegation fodder.

We have a lot of players that can get goals.

Got to pull you up on that Dave.

Last season McNeill only scored 3 prem goals. Already equalled that this season.

Harrison only scored three times last season in prem and yet to score in league this season.

Doucoure has one prem goal in the whole of 2024. Gana has outscored him this year.

DCL on one of his traditional winter scoring droughts, 1 goal in last 7 prem games.

To me the only one I'd be confident of getting to 7-8 goals plus decent number of assists is Ndiaye.

I think Beto now needs a run of 4-5 starts and see if he can impact West Ham, Brentford and Wolves as desperately need at least six points from those three fixtures just to stem the recent bleeding.

We may already have done, if Broja comes good. Signing him on deadline day shows that the management team weren't happy with Calvert Lewin and Beto. Hopefully a good piece of forward planning.

Think Broja was more insurance just in case DCL is sold in January (although with the takeover and fresh capital very soon I think he'll stay and go on a free now).

Broja really hasn't played much Football at all in the last two years and still a few weeks off featuring so I don't expect much at all until he magically turns into one of those saviour players in the run in perhaps.
