2024/25 Relegation Thread

The whole discussion around relegation has been weaponised as an attack on the manager.

I cant take it seriously. It almost evaporated in the last few weeks when we went unbeaten. Now it's back again because we got extremely unlucky against Southampton.

To me it's all present-minded nonsense: 'analysis' based on the last 90 minutes.
Christ, let’s get the bunting and street parties going for our incredible unbeaten run, exciting times to be a bluenose.

This relegation threat talk is just an alternative to the 'Get Dyche Out' shouts.

It's a dishonest assessment of our chances of relegation because of that.

In past seasons I've been concerned about relegation and said so. This season I have zero fears of it.

How many points are you expecting in the next two out of interest? And Wolves at home, that will be comfortably won for once yeah?

Don't win any of those three and pretty certain the team will be in the bottom 3 at some stage in December unless they play out of their skins against a title challenger.

The usual morons dismissing relegation as an absolute Impossibility.
It’s been out of our hands before and we got away with it. This team are right in the mix again.

It’s always a possibility with a manager in charge that is used to relegation, and drills it into the heads of the players that we are in a relegation scrap. I don’t understand the people who have total complacency about this manager keeping us out of trouble to be fair. It’s the “why sack him now and not just wait until the end of the season” argument that I can’t wrap my head around. There’s a very obvious reason why.

There's some rank teams again this season.

S'ton and Ipswich are nailed on to be relegated. We just have to get in front of another one and we're ok.

The forward resources we have and the fact we have a defence that gets immeasurably strengthened with the inclusion of just one player is reason enough to be completely dismissive of relegation.

Some people need to feel that we will or could be relegated though.
I would say the chances are still high he doesn’t start Branthwaite over Keane at the weekend. He has previous for it.

We are 5/2 for relegation, which is a fair assessment. That means it is a definite possibility, but not currently as likely as Southampton, Ipswich, Leicester or Wolves being relegated. That may change given we've had most of our easier fixtures for the first half of the season. We may well be in the bottom 3 by Christmas and then it's a question of actually managing to win home games against the likes of Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton.

Lets be realistic and say that if we survived the first two seasons with Dyche and he now has better players to choose from then we'll more than likely be ok this season too.

As I said: this thread is just another proxy 'get the manger out' thread.

It really is a waste of time because a/ we wont get relegated and b/ Dyche will see out his contract and be replaced.

In the next two games Ilm expecting 3 points.

Just like you were adamant Moshiri would never sack Benitez.
