2024/25 Relegation Thread

Surprised at Wolves. Some seriously talented players but utterly dismal in defence. A defence that bad can’t stay up.

People upset at us conceding goals this season, by contrast, Wolves have conceded 15 goals more than us.

Whilst us conceding 4 twice and a strewth of 3s, at least they were against handy top of table sides (spurs, United, villa).

Wolves conceded 4+ three times this season. They're in real trouble. Doesn't matter how much of a threat you are going forward (and they look quite handy), you're spot on. They're finished shipping goals like that.

Wolves have got some good attacking options but their defence is absolutely terrible. I’ve never seen basic long balls cause so much chaos or a team as repeatedly incapable of dealing with crosses into the box. They’ve got even bigger problems than we do.

Set pieces, all goals were more or less from set pieces. And they even conceded a 5th over that was unexplainably disallowed.

There were 2 chances that could turn the game differently in the first half, but overall was a solid performance.

I at the minute stick to what i said after 2 games in here that wolves may be in bigger trouble than some thought at that point. The comeback was they can score though. but people forgot that they are concedeing tons every week. Nothing is ever done till its done. We could do probably with Wolves been a draw Monday maybe
Next 3 for Wolves are opportunities...but if they dont take points from them their heads go down and they're gone IMO.
