2024/25 Relegation Thread

Should be a really tight one this season. Southampton are gone already and I'm hoping Ipswich too but then it's a toss up between us, Wolves and Palace imo. They have much better squads than us but at the moment Wolves are in turmoil. Hope they don't pull the trigger too soon on Gary O'Neil
Really hope you get relegated again

Don't forget man city...relegation could be an outcome for them which means only 2 teams going down. I know it's unlikely but if they were to be found guilty of 115 charges it will be difficult for the PL to give any other punishment bearing in mind our point deduction last year for one charge.

I am sticking to Man City will only end up with some type of big points deduction, but not enough to get them relegated

I think they would appreciate taking a 10+ deduction this season given it’s already gone for them I think.

We have a game in hand now. Our relegation rivals will be quaking in their boots
This is where games in hand are a funny thing psychologically.

If you’re behind with a game in hand you almost have to work on the assumption it’s zero points therefore isn’t really an advantage.

If you’re ahead though it’s a nice little extra bonus to have in your pocket…clear WITH a game in hand is a nice little extra edge to hold.

So psychologically it only feels an advantage if you’re ahead, hence why that game on Wednesday was so massive.

Interested where the postponed game goes now. The logical place is middle of Feb as RS should avoid the play offs in CL so they'll have two free midweeks. Hopefully it's after a morale boosting home win over Leicester.

Had a look on the Digital Spy premier league fixtures forum and they're on about playing it on NYD like it's the easiest thing in the World to just place it on a bank holiday with three week's notice. (n)
