2024/25 Relegation Thread

I want us to survive as a PL club - that's what you have to do first.

Dyche will be gone in June.

How do you people not 'get' that?
Other people have bigger ambition that just `bobbing` between 14th and 17th and some even think this squad of capable of more than that.

Keeping Everton so close to the drop zone only serves 1 person, that is Sean Dyche...

35pts keeps you up this season, and it might even be a couple points less.

Don't like this lottery tbf, costs too much nerves. We need to grab more points in the 2nd half surely to make this will happen a few games before the season ending like last season.

We will have 2 big mentality games in the last 5 games vs Ipswich and Southampton that will be bottom 4 teams by then.

Doesn't matter if we finish 17th or top 10. It's completely forgotten about next season when there's a new stadium, a new manager, and a new squad with new ideas.

Would like them to do more this season, yes. But not really too fussed if we stay as a PL team.

finishing between 17th and 14th for 3 seasons given the basket case of a club we've been for 4/5 years now is success.

But then please just ignore the comment rather than doing such a nonsense reply that doesn't help anyone.

Forum is a place for discussions and people have different opinions on things and that's alright. Just would like to know your point of you.
In a nutshell. A hypothetical situation, taken as fact, run with, touched down, conversion scored, and another score from restart. The OG point was to highlight how badly we're coached. Ended up being about how bad DCL is and how Tomas Franks wouldn't sign him 🤷🤷🤷🤦🤦

New Stadium, New Manager with new ideas and the vast majority of the current squad replaced, if all that happens in the summer don`t expect to get off to a good start, that is a lot and much more I haven`t mentioned to come straight in and expect to hit the ground running.

Get the manager in now, buy players to fit his system in January rather than buying players for Dycheball and start the process now, we will have a much better chance of a good start next season.

Can`t believe people are still advocating for this dinosaur and even want him backed with more players in January.... Have some standards and I care like 1000s of other Evertonians where we finish, if TFG are keeping the status quo it will be absolutely clear they will be Moshiri mkII.

And gain what though? 5 months on the back of over spending in January to reach the dizzy heights of 10th? What if that doesn't work out and players don't fit and we get pulled into a relegation zone we can't get out of with a manager not a customed to it?

Friedkin has to do very little this season and a clean slate practically happens to him...

6 first team players are out of contract.
2 back up keepers out of contract.
4 first team loan players return to clubs
Dyche out of contract
Thelwell (I believe) out of contract.

He gets the keys and already has to find a manager, a DOF, and 10 new 1st team players.

There will be zero to little spent in January IMO with the above happening as they'll have a plan in place ready to go.
