2024/25 Relegation Thread

If anyone can make a case that we don't absolutely deserve it after the past several seasons I'm all ears.

Would be rotten for the fans but on some level those who run the club and a vast majority of the players who masquerade as professional footballers, it would be a well-deserved public shaming.
They wouldn’t care. We do. Let’s stay up.

Perfect storm that needs avoiding. RS winning the league (probably the unprecedented quadruple), we get relegated going into the best stadium in the Championship (oh how people will laugh) with Moyes (who the RS hate) as our manager

Yeah, its 2 from 4.

I can potentially see a team going in freefall and MAYBE getting dragged in, but for now its 2 from 4.
They’d only get dragged in if we start winning. We’re two wins away from the next group of clubs. Considering we’ve only managed 3 in 20, I think Palace and United are going to feel safe for a while.

United win tonight.........which they will.We are cut adrift.Which to me is FFIN scarey..........never mind Ipswitch.
This will prove to be the worst season of all. It's out of 5 teams now. 3 of those go down.

Saints are gone. That's 2 to go down out of 4. Everton , Wolves and Ipswich. Leicester. And we are crap as either Wolves and ipswich and Leicester. To think not would be deluded and downright insane it's a lottery and the fact that the spark at goodison is sadly gone in her final season doesn't looks good for Everton.

I really hope the points required to stay up this year is very, very low. We need other teams to come to our rescue as I can’t see us winning enough games to get a points total that would normally secure safety

Some would lap it up if we were relegated. The usual suspects to the fore.

It would be a five-minute wonder though and then they go back to glory chasing or moaning.

If there is any predominant feeling about us from people who don't generally care, it's that we were badly managed, have been circling the drains too long, and what goes around comes around.

Heard a fact the other day, since 2014 in Europe’s Top 5 leagues, 38% of strikers signed in January window didn’t score a goal that season.

January is tough because there’s not much available, but Moyes has to get it right or we are cooked.
