2024/25 Relegation Thread

On the upside, Wolves new manager bounce seems to have fizzled out and they are still beneath us having played more games. So it’s looking like 3 from 5.
Wolves are in the middle of a hard run of fixtures, they still have 3/4 very tough games to come, which is why it’s so important we pull away a bit as come March/ April the tables turn and we have a horror run of fixtures with some winnable games for them. If we’re still within 4/5 points of them it will be a big worry.

Think Wolves have enough myself and it will be a straight battle between us and Ipswich.

The worry somewhere down the line is that Ipswich put a 6 or 7 points from 9 run together and we are left as we are and suddenly behind and unable to respond.

Some might say that's a freakish possibility and perhaps it is - but nonetheless it could mean the end of our Premier League status if it did.

It would be the equivalent of taking two or three bullets to the chest.

We will not stay up this season hoping to outdo teams in who is worse - we have to get our own wins.

Think Ipswich will take a point tonight, at least.
If they win it's really fearful for our prospects.

They have goals and wins in them. We do not. Unless we directly address that with urgency then we are going to see the same things.

I do expect Moyes to generate an improvement over the second half of the season but you'd still doubt where that will leave us. Fresh impetus is needed on the pitch.
The worry is Ipswich look good right now have a threat and score goals. I don't think Wolves are out of it. One from three we must recruit

I would be very surprised if they lost tonight, with the incentive they have after all the other losses

Just because they're motivated doesn't mean they'll win. They lack quality in most areas. Brighton, however, are an enigma so who knows what the result will be. My gut feeling is that Ipswich will make some defensive errors and Brighton will win 2-1.

Any time one of our rivals play Brighton, I expect Brighton to lose, because they are incredibly inconsistent.

People are acting like Ispwich are similar to Luton last year, but it's not true. Ipswich are not going to end the season on under 30 points.

Ipswich are similar to Luton in some ways. A number of their players were with them in League One, and aren't good enough for the Premier League. The difference is, Luton spent no money so they could use the Premier League windfall to build a new stadium, Ipswich have spent theirs on players, meaning they have a bit more about them than Luton did.

In my eyes it’s 2 of us, Wolves, Ipswich, Leicester are joining Southampton.

I’m hoping Lecister fall apart because they are wide open at the back

Wolves looked worrying but they’ve started losing again after Vitor went in and he’s started calling out Lemina one of their better players now

We need some signings and for us to break this run of losses

Wolves and Ipswich have both shown they can score goals recently. We have failed to score in 8 of our last 10 games. They both currently have more about them than us.

Moyes says he can't be a magician, which I realise, but we don't have the luxury of time. We, perhaps unreasonably, need him to improve us now, not in 3 months. And he needs to be backed by TFG.
