2024/25 Relegation Thread

Ipswich got Southampton at home next weekend so if they win that it will pile pressure on Wolves so not over for them yet although Godfrey was a poor use of their resources to get in an experienced defender.

Agrred. I live in Ipswich. They have been right to back McKenna after what he has achieved the past two seasons, and he has tried to stay loyal to some of those who have won them back-to-back promotions, but the transfer policy to add to them has been poor. Muric was a terrible signing in goal and they have no decent backup. They went for loads of Championship players who were good last year but have been found out at this level - Szmodics, Greaves, Clarke, Ogbene, now Philogene etc... They are far too lightwieght and what they needed most was an experienced head or two at the back and in midfield (Philips a risk that hasn't worked) but it is just not McKenna's style.
