Both bids were fine

South American bid was fine

The Euro/African bid was fine considering the countries involved are very close to each other

All footballing countries

Either give it to one bid or the other not shared across 6 countries and three continents

Why not South America in 2030

Spain, Portugal and Morocco 2034

There issue solved

Probably because Saudi have already bought 2034.

I read somewhere that, awesomely, because South America is getting some games, they now forfeit the ability to get the World Cup until 2042. Because everyone and they fn dead ass mothers know FIFA is going to give the one after to Saudi Arabia.

It's not cut and dried yet, I heard Vanuata and Kiribati are pulling together a joint bid for 2034

If they wanted to celebrate the 100th anniversary then they should have gave the entire tournament to Uruguay instead of this farce

Or at the very least, set the whole tournament in South America and have the final in Uruguay

Split games between Argentina, Paraguay, Chile, Bolivia, Brazil and Uruguay

Makes more sense than faffing around by having games across three continents

I'm happy that at least one game will be played in Uruguay to commemorate the first tournament, but there was a better way of going about this

Disagree with the shouts to host it in Uruguay. It's a tiny country. Not able to host a 48-team world cup. Has about 1 stadium.

The whole thing is a farce though

If FIFA really wanted to mark the centenary then have the opening fixture and final in Uruguay as part of a South American World Cup.

One or two games in Uruguay to commemorate the centenary as part of a larger South American tournament is perfectly acceptable

Having a game in Uruguay whilst the rest of the tournament is held in Iberia and Morocco is stupid

it was obviously done this way so that they could (FIFA) line their pockets with Saudi Oil money as it wipes out all other confederations except OFC (New Zealand aren’t exactly going to apply on their own, are they?), to clear the path for a Saudi World Cup.

I must admit, I’ll be curious down the years to see just how much they paid off Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay to waive their bid for the Centennial World Cup, as it makes absolutely no sense for them to agree to 1 game otherwise.

UEFA somehow the lesser of two very big evils. That Infantino could actually be worse than Blatter.
