The simple protest for me, is turn our backs. It means fans don't have to leave. More will join in with it and it gets a message across when on TV.

My dad refused to join in, as he didn't want to leave/stand downstairs. But I know he'd stand and face away. Many would.

But then again, the feeling I get at the match now is most aren't even bothered. They've accepted things it seems.

For anyone not sure why the #27years campaign was started and who think the folks behind it are cranks, here are some numbers they've put out today to illustrate just why they are campaigning for change and for it to begin at the very top from where the problems stem...

Grim reading covering 26 completed seasons:
?Ave position 10th
?Ave points 54
1 Cup Final, 4 losing semis (2 in each comp)

21 Seasons pre-Moshiri
?10th & 53pts average

14 Moyes & Martinez seasons
?8th & 57pts average

5 completed Moshiri seasons
?9th & 55pts average
Best Cup performances 2 QFs
One season in Europa League

?7 seasons in Europe in total out of 27 (one under Moshiri) best finishes two Round of 16 eliminations.

And a bit more evidence of failure by those running the club since the inception of the Premier League.
These figures are correct to the end of last season.

But who are they blaming for it right now and what do they expect or demand to happen to turn it around?

It seems to me it's very vaguely levelled at "the club" and that what they want to happen is "things to get better".

Last time out it was unfocussed and divisive. What lessons have been learned by the group, because if the answer is none and that they'll just double down then they'll be dismissed again. There are a lot of people willing to give them their backing but feel alienated.

My understanding is the campaign is aimed directly at the majority shareholder with the hope he'll finally accept that the management of the club by the Board of Directors has been woeful, especially in the near six years he has bankrolled the club.

It's like the so-called Structural and Strategic Review that's allegedly taking place, it's being undertaken by the very people who've been running the club so poorly these past years... it's akin to marking your own exam papers.

For a review such as is required at Everton to be effective and objective, it should have been put in the hands of people unconnected with the club and who could look dispassionately at every area and level within the club… from the very top down.

Every area and level needs to have clear definition of roles, expectations, targets, super targets and the incentives and reward structure.

The whole ethos of the club needs to be redefined and completely driven by a demand for excellence and continual improvement with no exception. Every area and level within the club has to strive to be better, there can be no room for complacency or passengers.

The club or more pertinently Farhad Moshiri needs to demonstrate a clear commitment to excellence and success, and that means winning matches, achieving silverware and playing entertaining football. We’ve done it in the past, there is no excuse for not being completely committed and focussed on doing it again… and sustaining it.

There's no way a private company are having an external audit of its culture of governance though. That's not an achievable objective.

And on Moshiri: it's no good persuading him of the need for excellence - he's the problem.

It's like people are too scared to pipe up that the emperor has no clothes.

With the best will in the world this group is flawed. Fundamentally so. It's objectives are unachievable and it's analysis of what (and who) needs changing bizarre.

I can't work out how anybody could happy clap Kenwright and the Board in the face of the shambles we have been recently.

Too many old heads in the Park End with memories of the 80s carrying them through this crap period. They're the ones that Sharpy announcement was aimed at.

The real standout for me is, you have people with their views and that’s fine. However all the slagging off they do, the get behind the team shouts, the patronising and so on. Should the club be successful again and when I say successful I mean something substantial not a few decent results a season, then they will be the first to cheer, brag and so forth.

All the while having spent time having a go at people who wanted to us get to that level in the first place.

O
I cannot stress enough that the source of the cancer at the heart of this club is moshiri.

Absolutely every appalling decision, woeful cup exit, Humiliating Derby defeat, pathetic league finish and slow destruction of the club stems back to him.

Everything.

But because of the stadium issue he gets a free pass and kenwright, no more than a powerless figure head gets the stick.

We have to be careful here because the stadium will take another two years to build if on track, maybe more. If Moshiri is still there then there won't be a Premier league team left to play in it.
Who sold the club to Moshiri. Looking 24/7 for
10 years apparently

And a bit more evidence of failure by those running the club since the inception of the Premier League.

Average points per completed season since 92-93 (24 seasons for Man City and 29 for the others):-

Man Utd 79.8
Arsenal 71.4
Chelsea 71.2
Liverpool 69.6
Man City 64.0
Spurs 59.2
Everton 52.9

Spurs largely nothing until 2009-10. Arsenal small incremental season by season decline since their best seasons. Man City nothing until 2009/10 and with many poor years in the early 90s even when not being relegated. Liverpool apart from 2013-14 were generally quite poor in the period 2009/10 to 2015/16. And yet all their average point tallies are way in excess of us.

Don't you also think, hand on heart Dave that this so called strategic review is flawed as well ? I mean strategic review, another way for Bill to bring in more of his cronies. Marking your own exam papers, quite correct Andy just more box ticking, we need new blood, ideas, investment brought into the club, not jobs for the boys. Shameful. Kenwrights ideas have always been more of the same.

Absolutely.

It's just a problem kicked into the long grass.

I understand that people are petrified that if Moshiri is protested against he'll run off home with his ball and the stadium will be dead. But that isn't likely. He and Usmanov have too much at stake.

The attack on Moshiri should be relentless so that he knows it's going to be in his best interest to get a new owner lined up to sell the club onto once he does the heavy lifting on stadium building. He's not daft. He knows that fans will be reluctant to go for him at this point and he's playing on that fact. His life should be made more uncomfortable than this. He's cratered a blue chip English institution. I bet he cant believe his luck he hasn't been hounded yet.
