Was a little surprised to come across so many fans across many spheres in the last few days praising the club for 'all that got done' in the last week, or words to that effect.

Just from observation, it seems that very many are willing to accept the strategic review at face value also. It's their prerogative of course but underlines that there is quite a rainbow of opinion on all matters Everton.

But they do deserve praise, they have done a lot of work, good work over the last few weeks,

In the context of appointing a manager that appears to have received near universal approval, albeit from a very bad position, the number of signings in January, and the promise of a review, then yes, I would agree in that context. Work has been done.

I would just tend to await the outcome of decisions before heralding them anymore, most particularly off-field.

There needs to be action to stop the same mistakes being repeated ad infinitum, and accountability at executive level for poor decision-making and lack of delivery.

Well hopfully Moshiri has learnt from his errors, but for now yesterday was positive so at least for the next few months we can focus on the football

The issue for the #27 campaign was that it would only be feasible whilst Benitez was manager and we were in the doldrums results wise.

Compare it to the KEIOC/Blue Union groups where the popularity/aims superceded results on the pitch and I can't see how the group progresses tbh whilst the owner is committed to spending dough.

Say we win our next 3 games on the spin playing good football - any protest/demo will be scoffed at by the majority particularly at Goodison itself.
While I sympathise with many of the campaign's principles (the removal of Kenwright being central), their problem is that Moshiri's largesse (and incompetence) after decades of Kenwright's parsimony means, ironically, that Bill's hand-picked successor is, effectively, taking the heat off him. The fans might believe Farhad is incompetent, but as long as he is backing managers financially he is untouchable. Kenwright can pose as a "traditional" fan and the "soul" of the club, a paragon of more innocent times and ownership models, while poor Moshpit spunks good money after bad in a race with his own incompetence. So we are caught in a sort of no-man's land. Nobody dares campaign to remove the money man - however poor his judgement - and the throwback that is Kenwright, a "true blue", reminds the wider world of more innocent times when Everton knew its place as a poor also-ran rather than, at worst, a rich also-ran. This campaign is doomed until Lampard's position becomes untenable...which, to be fair, might not be too far away or until Moshiri is driven from the club, removing any reason to persist with Kenwright too.

Seems they only come about when we’re losing.
Well, you stick to that myopic line of thinking if you like.

The campaign isn't specifically about results and wasn't specifically about Benitez.

As I said in an earlier post, the removal of Benitez was a pleasant by-product of the campaigns main aim of trying to influence the majority shareholder to examine the quality and capabilities of the current Board of Directors and when he's done that and hopefully, realises the huge shortcomings, he'll act decisively and remove some/all and replace with people who have serious business and football CVs to their credit.

Moshiri stating this week that he'd like the Chairman to remain as long as possible is crazy on two fronts.

Firstly, Bill Kenwright is now 76 years of age and has had major health issues in recent years, and without being unkind, did not look at all well yesterday... for his sake, he needs to either step down or be removed from office... for the sake of his health !!

Secondly, Bill Kenwright has been in charge of the club through its most barren period of history. He wanted Roberto Martinez back - a manager we sacked and who took the club to court - he clearly didn't put up a strong enough argument to dissuade Moshiri from appointing Benitez... and he delusionally, thinks the rest of football reveres our board and suggests, "the all ask what would Everton do, they always get it right." when we have palpably got it wrong for far too long.

And to claim after the Villa game that '"you've had good times" just about put the tin hat on things. Two lost semi-finals and a lost final (2009, some 13 years ago) are nowhere near to mine and many others ideas of "good times."

The #27years campaign will continue to lobby for change at the very top and will do so at times they perceive as being opportune and with/by methods they deem appropriate to gain maximum exposure and coverage of the aims... to dramatically improve the short, medium, and long term future and success of Everton Football Club.

So we’ll see you on the next run of bad results then.

Spot on.

You're preaching to brain dead happy clappers Andy. But I do "worry" the campaign might be lost before it's really begun if all goes well with FL. The best thing to do is to push the owner to modernise the board but how?
Kenwright is like the Queen and a drama one at that. Still in power till he dies.

Let me assure everyone that from what I know and have been reliably informed, absolutely everybody involved with and in the #27years campaign is 100% behind the appointment of Frank Lampard and wishes him and the team nothing but the absolute best in terms of both results and levels of performance.

The campaign to try to influence Moshiri to examine and act upon the lack of quality and expertise within his boardroom will continue.
I'm honestly not sure what the next activity or initiative is or when it will take place.
I do know that a website is currently under construction and that respected members of the media continue to show high levels of interest in what's been done to date and what may happen in the future.

Imagine watching the rancid crap we endure every single game and still chosing to moan about the few truly committed fans that actually tried to do somthing about it. Ffs, those of you that bitched about us wicked old negative fans and continue to blindly happy clap deserve everything you get from the club.
