There’ll be a pitch invasion before the season out, frustration is growing as the inevitable gets closer, frustration will boil over.

Goodison will be a very hostile place in the coming weeks
Really I fear what could happen, getting toxic by were I sit. Oh yes it was my son his head is falling offlol.seriousley tho dreading the next few home games

Fans aren’t powerless. That’s a myth , you’ve got to put of effort in though to force change . And most couldn’t be arsed.

Sometimes you have to stand up and make your voice heard. Some chose to have a go at fans they disagreed with instead. They got it wrong and history will show that.

The owner is the reason why we are going down, but fans had the opportunity to make a statement and failed to do so. ANd people wonder why nothing ever changes.
The campaign was too nuanced and didn’t address the root of the problem. It even went as far as praising Moshiri’s financial commitment in the explainer. It was never going to rally fans and make a change. That’s the fault of the campaigners.

I just find it incredible that it would be suggested that fans who wouldn’t support this campaign are part of the problem.

People who support a board and owner who have led us to the brink of relegation are part of the problem.

People took snide remarks and stick off fellow fans for joining the protest. Its an embarrassing episode for the club and those who sneered at other fans should reflect and maybe apologise.

I remember the 90’s, they were bad. It was almost waiting for a kick off in the stands. This is worse, far worse because the players aren’t even trying to show anything

Your campaign was dreadful. It didn’t mobilise the support. That’s on the organisers.

There’s a difference between not wanting to engage in protest and actively supporting the board. I’m hard pressed to find anyone who supports this ownership. However, I can forgive people for thinking that it was going to be different when we started to see money being spent and a stadium being built. We have been let down by the owners, not the fans.

I dont have an issue with those who didn't want to participate. They have every right not to join in. I have a big problem with how people sneered and had a go at fellow supporters. Thats the point I'm trying to make, but not articulating very well.

It made the protest seem disunited and disorganised and actually gave a false sense to the board that they had widespread support.

The Coventry game , a steward, who I thought at one point was going to spontaneously combust due to panic , was warning us to leave ASAP at full time if we got relegated.

It's always the same. "Ahahaha lad why you crying about it lad the state of yers" as we hurtle towards the Championship.

I think its more complex than that mate tbf.

I marched with the Blue Union but that was when I was young and stuck with the Kenwright era of no hope.

Fast forward a decade and I've got a kid, mortgage to pay and watching the new owner build us a werld class stadium, invest hundreds of millions on players whilst trying to push us on (admittingly has failed but cant pin all the blame on him for that).

Cant speak for anyone else but my days of protesting are over - EFC has taken a backseat in my life as has football all together its become a farce with VAR, FFP, ESL, super agents, gulf state backed clubs etc.

Sooner it all comes crashing down the better.

Everton has taken that much of a backseat you are never off here lol

most of it I agree with especially the last part

@Seanjd it didn’t mobilise the support because most people are happy with mediocrity . only mediocrity is fast turning to a catastrophe .
I don’t think anybody is happy with mediocrity at all. Not any fans, anyway. There was optimism that might change in 2016 when Moshiri came in and we started to see money being spent. I think lots believed it would come good even when questions were being asked about mismanagement not long after that, and I can’t blame them for thinking that. You have to be optimistic that it will improve.

You said before that fans do have the power to change it. Just out of interest, what did you want the fans to change in five months into a relegation threatened season?
