First of all apologies if that term offends you but your speaking to the wrong person thinking people like me are dividing the fan base! Try looking up towards the board and the reason why this protest has come about. Fair enough If you dont agree with it that’s your choice.

How would you go about getting changes at the club then??
Are you willing to keep spending your hard earned money and watching us achieve nothing year after year after year with nothing but misery and failure in return?
I think I’ve been quite clear in this thread....change is needed, a protest can work, but in my humble opinion a focussed group outside the stadium before or after the game would have much more impact.

That term offends the majority of match-going Blues. What offends or amazes me is that there are some who prefer to divide the fan base as opposed to unite it.

I’ve been spending my hard earned on ST’s and following the Blues over land and sea for over 40 years and seen worse situations to be fair. It’s a choice I make to spend my dough following what I love - Everton. In broad terms I support Everton, not the team of players at any one point, not the manager, not the board, Everton.

You think they wanted out because of booing? Nothing to do with Manchester clubs wanting them on big money?

I stand by my point, its hard to achieve any meaningful improvements when you have people clapping off players after shipping 5 home to Watford. There would still be some who would happily clap Kenwright and the board if we got relegated
Can you explain how a few old folk clapping Bill Kenwright and some fans taking up their right to clap the players off even after defeat has any single, tangible effect on whether or not there are “meaningful improvements”? Thinking simply and logically I can’t muster one.

It's symptomatic of the position the club is in. It gives the board and hierarchy the impression that all is well and that people aren't too bothered. And if they think that people are happy, then why should they strive to improve. The club is so complacent right now and it's quite dangerous. We are trending towards relegation over the next 2-3 years if nothing changes.

If people applaud mediocre failure, then it's not a surprise we decline rather than improve. The fact Kenwright is still chairman in 2021 shows the impact the likes of the clapping had.

Tarnishing the brand doesn't help the club in the short term. But that's more or less the point - many Evertonians have decided the club has poor medium and long term prospects on the present course.

The short term pain of forcing much needed change is a necessary evil to enhance the clubs medium and long term prospects. That's the conclusion these supporters have arrived at.

In light of the form run we're on, the divide on the manager, the criminal misuse of resources, the baffling lack of accountability it's hard to argue that some substantive change is not warranted. If you accept that, then the debate becomes about what course of action will force change thrugh in the quckest amount of time.

On the "moron protesters" side of the coin, many of us feel the club is in almost an existential battle right now. Hence the depth of feeling, and the emotion. To be quite honest not really sure what the "happy clappers" (who got the better side of the insult christening there eh) are getting quite so angry at. If you don't think there's a problem,. or this is just a blip, then what do you care? Things will return to the norm shortly then right?
All very well written, but I don’t recall ever suggesting there isn’t a problem. There’s massive issues at the Club that we all want sorted. I simply don’t agree that the proposed course of action is the right one or that fan division is helpful

Anyone who kicks off at someone for leaving a football match is an idiot

Anyone who kicks off at someone for not leaving a football match is an idiot

There won't be kick offs if people are sensible and respect each other. Any one who kicks off at someone they disagree with is an idiot.
I hate to break it to you but there are loads out there.

The situation is fraught. Tempers are frayed.
