Has the club been warned specifically about the smoke sticks that were used to great effect by the supporters? All the flags, smoke and banners at Goodison during the run in last season helped to create some of the best atmospheres in recent memory and they were a major factor in us staying up. Everybody seemed to be inspired and it helped create a bond between the supporters and the team which i personally would like to see carried on throughout a full season.
Using the smoke and whatnot outside of the ground should not be an issue, and it's something I'd be content with as it adds to the atmosphere.

As @BNJ1878 said, the issue here is their use within the ground and the growing trend for some fans, mainly youth and young adults, to encroach on the pitch.

This needs to stop now; outside the ground, go ahead by all means.

Doing anything like this inside the ground is very counterproductive, inside the ground should be about supporting the players, only, and running on the pitch and smoke bombs isn't doing that

I don't think that matters. If the league is looking for a scapegoat, we're an easy target.

We're not an international media darling, we're actually an irrelevance thanks to our decades long managed decline. The only ones whining about a points deduction (if it came to that) would be Everton. DBB would send one of her letters off to the Premier League stating how shocked and appalled she is and a few of our fans would go all misty eyed at how wonderful she was.

People are getting confused between supporting and being a tit. The coach welcomes and that are great for certain games. Smoke cannisters in the ground? Not for me. Smoke cannisters on the pitch? 100% no.

Fans on the pitch? No.

A few fans jumping over the hoardings for a few seconds to spontaneously celebrate on the rare occasion when we score? No real harm done.

The trend seems to be kids (and some big kids) go to the game knowing they're going on the pitch. That has to stop.

As for protests, I'm a huge advocate of them. Long and noisy and often. It doesn't need to detract from supporting the team in anyway.

Walk outs on 27 min detracts from supporting the team.

Protests during the match detracts from supporting the team.

A protest must happen Saturday, long and loud post match when they are trying to do post match analysis and pitchside interviews. Even if we get a point or snatch a win, protest. (it probably increases its impact as opposed to a reactionary heavy defeat protest - that may happen anyway)

I'm fully behind the ladies and gents who have got the 27 campaign up and running, but the messaging is all over the shop. Outsiders (and I include Evertonians here) need to read tweets and forum posts from many people involved and they get a slightly different idea from each of them.

Simplyfy the message. Right now it's asking the owner to do three things, potentially four. (Listen, Engage and Act. Oh, if you don't.... Sell!)

Keep it simple, stupid. Sack the board and get professionals in.
Perfectly put - articulates exactly hownI am feeling except I would be happiest when we are most tribal and should coin that as the norm and our thing, because no one else in the league does it better or should be doing it as much given what we have been put through.

Even if it didn’t make a bit of difference Be great just to see him get sacked finally pay for his 2 decades of incompetence
Yeah but will it? It was great to see him sell and hand over the club to another custodian, I was made up like everyone else was, and what happened, his replacement took us with inches of oblivion.
It might be great to see him get sacked now, until his replacement turns up, and looking at the recruitment of Moshiri, and the people he listens too, such as Kia, I dread to think who that might be

Our fans are just far too easily pleased. They don't want to protest and are a bit delusional, and think we are far better than we are.

We had league 1 levels of forward options yesterday and we have tons of fans on this board defending our board and DOF. A couple of midfielders coming in seems to have made everything ok for most people for some reason unknown to me.

I genuinely don't understand the mentality of our fan base. If we lap up mediocre rubbish then no surprise that our ceiling will forever be mediocre.

I relate to how you feel. People have to make their own minds up though regardless. At the very least, whatever gets said, what has happened here over the years is there for all to see. The real telling thing is how other clubs are fair game but to look within here, there is a hesitation, I’d even argue a dismissive attitude.

I thought the effort was there yesterday but the quality wasn’t. It wasn’t helped by the obvious forward situation that needed fixing even if DCL was fit to play.

I’m at the point where I consider if it’s worth bothering even engaging about it anymore and just take a quiet, see how it all turns out approach.

DOF? Thellwell? You saying we should be protesting about him when he has been here 2 minutes.

I see you don't mention Moshiri once, so your obviously happy with what he has done?

United fans our protesting about the owners
