Maximum penalty is 12 points. So City can just wait until they are either 12 points clear of 2nd or 12 points clear of 4th with no chance of winning the league and confess everything.

They’re right. We are an easy target. Even today’s coverage is saying “what could this mean for City and Chelsea?”

PL know that even if we shout and scream, there’s not enough media backing to put any real pressure or criticism on them. There’ll be a few footy talking heads saying “it seems a bit harsh” and in 2 days no-one aside from Evertonians will care.

We can't take this to CAS.

If we appeal it will be another Independent panel.

Hold on, if you cant work that out you must be daft. What have we got last two seasons? Average of 37 points. At least one of those three clubs below us find firm...very possible...it'll mean we'll have had to have had a 48 points season to keep them at arms length. If you think we're as good as that then you are the one who have to show your workings out.

Yes we've been/are run badly. But we've also been hit by some total unforseen circumstances. Sigurðsson, covid and the war in Ukraine. Just seems very disproportionate.

The lesson from Sigurdsson is keep playing players accused of all sorts. Innocent until proven guilty, as Man City might say, not to mention United and Arsenal...
