6 + 2 Point Deductions

Yeah I would question the competence of the new owners if they tried to bring him back. Love him to bits for the times he was here but I don’t think he’s at the same level he was due to injury and obviously he’s struggled with his mental health.

The fee we got for him has been a good return for us. Less so for Spurs.
I would bring him back if we could pay a significantly reduced fee, say £20 million, or a loan with a fee
If he was happier I think you'd find his fitness would improve.

Really? You've never had a job you weren't that keen on, where you'd stay off if you had a cold, compared to a job you really enjoyed where you'd drag yourself in? Richarlison played with all sorts of niggles for us,yet always seems to be injured at Spurs.

I don’t think Richarlison is calling in sick because he doesn’t like playing for Spurs mate.

I'm not sure that's how it works.

And despite the affection on both sides, he'll be 28 years old in a few months. Exactly the type of player, on that fee, we should be avoiding.

You have a point mate, happiness is definitely linked to performance, so I think better performance in training reduces risk of injury and would certainly speed up recovery.

Or, playing through all those niggles eventually caught up with him.

I think he stood out in a poor team, and what he gave us in goals he took away in terms of creativity from the wings. He's rightly idolised for the important goals he scored and effort he put in, but I'm not convinced he's THAT good beyond that.

Was more a talisman than a superstar player. Still love him, and wish he’d stayed longer. We desperately needed a fighter like him at the time, just to win corners and chase lost causes. Was always a player that should have stayed as a fan favourite at a club like us, rather than push and push to get to a level that was far too high for him and his body. Unrelenting ambition exceeding outright effectiveness really. Gave us plenty of memories, we don’t need any more.
