6 + 2 Point Deductions

Where’s all this conspiracy about the commission members come from?

The report literally has their names on the top of the first page. It the first and last thing written on the report.

His Honour Alan Greenwood

Good job none of our former auditors had a say in it. Might have got a bit more juicy.

It appears from some of the comments about the report (I haven't read it) that the biggest issue is the 50M stadium costs not being written off due to planning not being in place. If this is the case then we should easly have the whole thing thrown out.. a semi competent lawyer could sort this one out.

Actually, they are proving week by week recently.

So kof with negativity.
This team have thrown away most of the 36 points on offer so far. Only the last 5 games have they made a fist of it.

To listen to some you'd think we had a team that is a steely-determined points winning machine. They are the same bottlers as the last few seasons.

This 10 point deduction has us dancing on the trapdoor for the remaining 26 games.

We've been mugged and this decision is corrupt. The worst of it is that we've also had to put up with outsiders all day stating "You;ll easy get out of it anyway".

That;s like salt in the wound for me. Its a BS pat on the head at best.

We are in massive trouble. Anyone believing that other nonsense is kidding themselves.

Look where we are mate. Rock bottom with Burnley. To expect this lot to go out and rack up another 34-36 points to give us a chance of staying up is insane.

That's not going to happen, so we're going to have to hope that Sheff Utd, Luton and Burnley don't get near another 30 points. ATM that looks a tall order for them, but I would say it's likely that one of them will get their act together and go on a run. Then we'll see panic at this club.

I see us panicking and cracking.
We were 8 points ahead of bottom three before the deduction.
After 12 games, 26 to go

Only a miserable git could think we can't get ahead of them again

I see things in the round:

1/ we've been HIGHLY fortunate so far to keep DCL on the pitch but we know he'll have a setback. We can factor that in
2/ the promoted teams cant possibly have a worse run of form than they have so far, they'll pick up
3/ ...and relatedly...those promoted teams will get a huge boost from our misfortune
4/ our players now have a ready made excuse if things start going wrong. That's just human nature

I see things bleakly because we've just hot the buffers. This team isn't capable of running 48-50 points in a season...and that's what they'll have to do.

Absolutely no chance.
I agree that we are vulnerable to injuries to one or, God forbid, two key players. But “absolutely no chance”, respectively disagree!!

I`m glad we know where we stand now. We`ve been a far better side last 6 six than the first 6 and I see no reason why we won`t continue to play better as the season goes on. It`ll be a close thing to avoid the drop losing those 10 points and having dropped points at home so early on. It might just generate a bit of a siege mentality within the club, everyone wants to see us down so what better way to shove their 10 point deduction back at them then to win a cup and stay up. I don`t think its beyond us the way we have improved lately.
