6 + 2 Point Deductions

What the PL really need to do is basically drop all charges for everyone, and admit it's a complete mess, come up with the new rules including a defined punishment, and a comprehensive list of mitigating factors if you do go over. So everyone knows where they stand and the PL don't have to make BS upon the spot. I've never heard any club complain too much about the 9 point deduction for entering administration, that's because everyone knows what the punishment is well in advance.

Indeed. Serie A dropped offa cliff after calciopoli. The brand is tainted.

Serie A dropped off a cliff when the money ran out though (which was before Capciopoli. Clubs were owned by rich owners who financed them and the likes of Lazio, Fiorentina and Parma went bust and Berlusconi concentrated on politics.

whether or how stadium costs could be included or excluded, our whether loans that we ultimately used for stadium costs could be used for cash flow aiding between securement of loans and spending in stadium

They never changed.

We had loans classed as working capital.

The MSP loan we will have no issue with claiming off the PSR as its directly for the stadium build.

Bad governance on the clubs behalf.

I think nobody complains about the administration deduction because a) It's only ever happened once and b)If you've gone into administration you're getting relegated anyway because you'll have to get rid of all your players!

Would be perfect, but there will defo be clubs that sold players they’d rather have kept, or pulled out of buying players in order to comply. They would gang together and cause chaos within minutes if rules that made them damage their sporting and possibly financial performance were all a waste of time when they tried to do the right thing.

Worst case scenario is we don't get anything back and we get a further 10 points taken off in the same season because the PL are tools are cant work out how many points we should get on a pro rata basis...
That would technically currently puts us bottom on 9 points (I know we won't get hit with the further punishment until later this year, but for the sake of painting a picture). You would imagine forest would also get slapped with 10 points (minimum), so the bottom 4 of the table would be:
Forest- 14
Burnley - 13
Sheffield U - 13
Us - 9 (potentially 12 after tonight)
Its not a great situation but we could definitely fight our way out of that. And thats worst case scenario.

What I said earlier was in my opinion none of the claims to their being mitigating circumstances are compelling had the PL not already agreed to allowing additional factors in their P&S calculations then the sum of £119.4 would have been greater.

As for reporting true financial position . I accept your point re Chelsea but it’s worth reading again what the IC say about the numbers submitted by Everton.

That’s what City thought and went to the High Court and the court was completely happy with the PL process

But the numbers submitted by Everton are due to a pot they sit in, nit as to whether they exist or not. Our financial position is exactly the same as reality, whether HMRC or the PL see it. Yours were, allegedly, or admittedly by your owner, falsified.

You've clearly read the report, so you will know that it states that Evertons was an unintentional breach. Chelsea and City by their very nature were intentional. That's immeasurably worse and should, in my opinion lead to immediate expulsion from the league. If I'm being honest, I'd also add a caveat that for each hear in which they falsified accounts, they have one season of being unable to return to the league.
