6 + 2 Point Deductions

The more I think about this it seems as though it'll be ten points back or none.

If our KC has successfully made the point that the mitigating circumstances around Everton being a paltry 19 million over the
allowed spending and profit loss there can have been no offence. There's no being 'a bit guilty'.

We certainly had no control over the loss of a major financial investment due to the Ukraine war , nor the loss of a saleable asset
in a player being suspended because of a non-football related issue.
Let's hope Silky has done the business, but if not, I can't see how they can stick with 10.

Universally slammed for it's severity, I expect (if they stick with a points deduction) that they would have to reduce it.

The real worry is that the first sets the indicator for the second charge.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, no one should be looking at our home games as our saviour. Our record is appalling under Dyche, 3 wins in 13 so far. We'll be lucky to grab another 2 home wins imo. The away games (no matter how hard) are the ones we will have a better chance due tk how he sets us up away from home.
I don’t think it’s about home or away I think it’s about whether the other team tries to come at us.
The most frustrating games have been Palace and Luton because they put ten men behind the ball and we’re crap at breaking down a tough defence.

Here’s my take on the remaining home games:

West Ham - will be similar to the away game, both teams will defend and we’ll try and score off set pieces as there won’t be open play gaps. We’re good at that so have good chance of winning
Liverpool - suits our counter attack set up but will probably still lose because Liverpool
Burnley - terrible open defence, we should win
Forest - seem to be a lot more open now, should win
Brentford - again suits our style as they commit men forward - should win
Sheffield United - probably already relegated by this point so will try and play football, should win

The league is not credible until all this stuff is resolved. There is a lack of sporting integrity until all this stuff is sorted out.

Spot on. If it was just this one appeal hanging over us I wouldn't be too concerned it stretching out past another game. The fact we have to go through this whole thing again afterwards is a beyond a joke.

How can we or Forest or any other team near the bottom set up to play when they have no idea what will be stripped/added. Games where you could have settled for a point but you pushed on and lost. Similarly games where you had to go for the win but you didn't because of the current situation dictated that would be the wrong move.

If they cannot at least give you 10 games at the end to try and address any punishment, then it should be carried over to the next season. This lengthy hearing and appeal process just allows them to keep it up in the air and play God to devise whatever table they want to produce after the season has ended. Therefore there is zero sporting integrity.

Just as a simple example, teams down the bottom right now have no idea if a draw in a game might be a good point or 2 points dropped. If a game is level heading into the last 15 minutes, they don't know whether to try and hold the point or if they really need to push on to try and win the game.

so we have 12 games left

Just the 15 points out 18 at home

Seem realistic and in keeping with current home form
