Everton needs to come out and fight this. A precedent was set, and this decision goes against the precedent and the decision of the appeal commission, which stated that Everton was not misleading. I think any point deduction is wrong, but Forest's 4-point deduction seems fairer than our original 10.

You've got to imagine that if our original charge was heard again now, with references made to Forest's overspend, 10 points (or even 6) could not be justified.

So seemingly, if you fess up early and don't muddy the water, the PL will SUPPORT a reduction in points.

That's not unusual

If you have a financial regulator on your case, early cooperation gets you a reduction in the fine

I've just seen the level of the Forest breach in comparison to Everton

The decision for a lower deduction is blatantly inconsistent and unfair and should be challenged by whatever legal options we have.

Mosh trying to speak on behalf of the club in our first hearing an absolute catastrophe. Forests team have simultaneously kissed arse, really really hard and sloppily, whilst tying them in knots due to the lack of documented process and open ended punishments.

Just reading through now, no one should expect a suspended points sentence.

"Finally, the Premier League argued that it would not be appropriate to suspend any pointsdeduction. An immediate deduction is appropriate in PSR cases, and a suspended deductionwill generally be inappropriate, for the reasons given in the Everton Appeal at [228]. Inparticular, suspension “would not address the position in the league itself, nor would it addressthe potential profit share advantage that not having any deduction in points would have”

Yet they ignore the 6pts minimum & Forest overspending by double our amount

That's an enormous success for Forest today. They'll see this as a potential turning point in their season, have no doubt fully expected at least double that punishment.

Whereas we had ours hanging over us for 3 months and only got it reduced to 2 points more that Forest upon appeal.

Now the next charge for us, does it start at 3 points deducted? 6? Anybody knows, no? Repeat offenders so the penalty is doubled?

Our appeal found that we did not mislead knowingly and had acted in good faith.

Yes still get 2 points more despite a smaller breach.

we had better be taking them court. Club needs toughen up.
