I disagree - the perverse thing about this investigation is that it refers to the time when we weren't throwing money about like drunken sailors.
As even the investigation notes, over four years we have been within PSR because we have over the past three seasons cut spending and lived within our means for once.
I always feared the we were the ideal scapegoat for the Premier League to use as 'a lesson to all'. Not on of the favoured six (guaranteed money generators), not one of the 'established' London clubs (think West Ham/Tevez) but a big enough name to show 'that they mean business'. We all know that money corrupts and the Premier League is basically a licence to print money for the rich.

My biggest worry with the whole thing is that they have laid out there, very clearly, that this decision sets no precedent and any punishment, or none-punishment is dependant entirely on the panel that is put together for that specific charge. That feels like a predetermined get-out-clause for all following cases.
The way that they have worded it also seems to suggest that it is not acceptable for clubs to expect to be anywhere beyond where these 'specialists' see them as being, and Everton should not have had the gall to aim for 6th place.
We'll be OK anyway, and as some have said this is probably the season you'd want it to land.
Nice to see Everton sticking up for themselves as well, and we will indeed watch with great interest for the outcome of other clubs over the next 12 months.

Well, we're not appealing our guilt, we will appeal the severity of the punishment. I don't know who hears the appeal, but as no clause exists for the points deduction being increased it's something of a free hit.
