6 + 2 Point Deductions

Yep. Due to be Monday. No doubt David Ornstein will release the news of the Guilty teams (Expected to be Leicester) before anyone else
I reckon we will get lumped in with the others in this press release. Not due to spending but purely due to the outstanding interest issue. If we have not been cleared yet, which presumably we haven’t, then they will have to put us through some kind of process at some point to bring it to a close?

I’d hope that if external auditors have accepted (again) the accounted treatment for statutory accounts purposes, then Tricky Dicky and his calculator wielding hence-people should back off. We may have a period of uncertainty though.

Problem is that won’t be the news alert. It will be “Everton facing hat-trick of breaches and relegation to the 24th tier of English football, horrible cheats. Boooo” Hope the TFG PR teams are a bit more pro-active and aggressive in keeping the record straight.

Would be the norm for our future audits to be carried out by whoever audits the rest of the TFG companies for ease of communication and to avoid one firm having to rely on the work of another. Might add more weight to future years.

Is this correct, he’s saying City’s defence is that the PL shouldn’t be using hacked emails as evidence

If that holds up then the PL have nothing

….but if the commission accepts the evidence then there can be no mitigation and we’re looking at 60-100 points deduction

Where do you get 60-100 points from mate?

Reading that Leicester City overspent by about £12m+ so it will be interesting to see what happens to them or if they even get charged.

Sacking Steve Cooper might get them nailed it seems

PL will be hard on them even if it's a small overspend. I am sure the use of the loophole last year to avoid any punishment hasn't gone very well with both the efl and the pl.

Cant remember the amount i remember seeing, but it was more than 12mil at the time rumours started in June about their overspent
