6 + 2 Point Deductions

Fuming that once again, we’re the only club who get meaningfully done by something. How on earth does this always happen. 100% other clubs have fallen foul, Chelsea did, united did, Leicester did, but no, only Everton. Corrupt.

Since the start of the 2022-23 season, Everton have been hamstrung by strict spending constraints and they are the only Premier League side during that period with a positive net spend, of £80m.
So technically we can spend £215m this window and still be compliant this year?

Leicester got penalised, but got away with it on a technicality. Chelsea "sold" assets to get around it via a loop hole in the laws. We tried the same thing with USM (£30m for naming rights!) but got unlucky with sanctions on Usmanov. You can complain about the EPL being incompetent and unable to right rules properly, but the only ppl we should be fuming at are our own board and leadership team of the last 7/8 years.

We’ve had to sell our best players and not sign anyone to “stay compliant”, but others can fragrantly break the rules and not get done. It’s great we’ve not be done yet again, but I’m so annoyed that no one else has
They haven't broken the rules, they've got around them. Same thing we tried to do. We we just not as good at it/unlucky.

The premier league have bottled it. I doubt they can even afford to take action against clubs anymore. Didn’t the hearings against us cost them millions?
Toothless, pathetic organisation.

I don’t see how they could have swung their results around enough whilst in the Championship. Then again, if we are clear now, we should be clear going forward given we have grown ups in the building, so don’t care about any of it any more. Leicester, Chelsea, City. Past caring now. Back to the footy finally.
Because we had LOTS of players at the ends of their contracts when we got relegated, even more have finished since. Then all the player shad LARGE wage reductions in place. On top of that we have sold Dewsbury Hall for £30m, Barnes and Catagne for £50m, plus the manager and his staff to Chelsea was £10-£20m. So effectively in the championship PSR season we sold nearly £100m worth of talent. The previous PSR season we sold Maddison and Fofana for £110m.

We were only a Moshiri signature away from getting the naming rights deal done before the sanctions.
