6 + 2 Point Deductions

Everton have made a profit in the transfer market over the last five years

It has just come to light, that Everton are the only club in the Premier League to have made a profit in the transfer market over the last five years.
Here is the table in full.

TeamNet spend
Arsenal£-469m
Aston Villa£-216m
Bournemouth£-127m
Brentford£-95m
Brighton£-49m
Chelsea£-772m
Crystal Palace£-145m
Everton£27m (profit)
Fulham£-123m
Ipswich Town£-111m
Leicester City£-17m
Liverpool£-252m
Manchester City£-142m
Manchester United£-548m
Newcastle United£-366m
Nottingham Forest£-221m
Southampton£-64m
Tottenham Hotspur£-473m
West Ham United£-276m
Wolves£-31m
Whilst that’s evidently not a bad thing for the club on a financial basis, it does show the lack of investment in the squad.
So it’s hardly surprising Everton have been on a steep decline ever since Carlo Ancelotti’s departure in 2021.

"Come to light"

We all know this. Forced upon us by the threat of 18 point deductions each season if we don't comply.

Should've sold the Liver Building to club for £300mill.

These 8/9 year deals are absolutely ridiculous. I suppose when whichever player is it who has signed such long deals, will cause the club they leave a lot of trouble when they are due the rest of their contract,if they left early

Can you imagine what would happen if we gave a player that long of a contract, he`d do his knee ligaments standing up after signing the contract and would never play again.

Seen the rumours swirling round about those involved in the City charges think they’ll get off with a heavy fine. Coincidence Haaland signs a new long term deal the same day.

Tbh if that’s anywhere near true the club are being too soft on this issue and need to raise the roof. It’s not just the points deduction last year, how many clubs have been progressing only to have been hamstrung by PSR issues whilst the traditional big 6 clubs spend freely? Corrupt to the core and the club should not let the issue go if this happens.

Yeah that rumour is everywhere isn’t it , like they’re leaking it to prepare everyone

If they get away with the fine, same as chelsea, Everton should sue the pl...not sure if there was a statement from us at the time of our punishment that we will be keep a closer look at the other cases implying that there should be fairness in the decision. As per the pl own words, there should be a sporting sanction.

City have defo got off with it, they know already, they are ok and won’t get points deducted, trophies taken away or relegation, just like Chelsea know they are sound, it’s a total joke.

Funny how fines are acceptable punishment now isn’t it…..

Corrupt to the very core and masters should be in nick.
If they are found guilty and get only a fine I think we just have to sit back and enjoy the fume from the RS for a change. They’ll have potentially been done out of titles by City’s cheating so let them lead the assault on PL HQ.

Don’t disagree with any of that, that is one bonus from this entire shitshow.

However, everton should definitely be kicking up holy hell over the inconsistencies in punishments and the harshness and unalignment of treatment and the investigations depending on which clubs are involved, it’s bordering on criminal.
