6 + 2 Point Deductions

UEFA are already investigating these results mate - i suspect the PL are waiting to see if they have to do something if UEFA do = politically i doubt they want to.
Yes it’s just the fact we got here in the first place. If these regulations have to be in place, they should be fairly water tight and clear and no club should be emboldened to think they can explore loopholes like this. These are fairly obvious low hanging fruit ways of trying to exploit them - it didn’t take a lot of imagination to think of them which shows how poorly the regulations were constructed.

Agree with all that mate. As City are proving its possible to absolutely dismantle the PL rules, very poorly constructed, with limited analysis and risk assessment and very poorly applied.

It really annoys me that we fell foul of them but Utd & Chelsea have been shown tolerance while Leicester and CIty just gave them a beat down. In hindsight were we to passive.

If you cant apply the rules equally to all, then they should be applied to one.

Lets not forget we are in the dock with Burnley in the summer still as a result of the outcome of these rules.

Sell Goodison to a TFG company that then rents it out to the women’s team.

In the past, people have been unenthusiastic about the value of the land where Goodison is located. However, that’s with a view to knocking the stadium down as it would no longer be utilised in that way.

But if it continues to be used as a soccer stadium, then it retains the value of a soccer stadium. And the truth is that Goodison Park remains a Premier League standard ground, and therefore has significant value in the money mad world of ‘soccer’.

We should not underestimate the value of Goodison Park!

Just don't let rugby be played at it, or we risk it becoming renowned for rugby......

They’re just taking the absolute piss now and have done for some time with their other ‘creative’ financial solutions, players on eight year contracts (which have been clamped down on now), then hotels, now the women’s teams. Ridiculous and makes a farce of all the regulations which we knew anyway.
Up to others to do the same...facts are their owner wants to spend his money and a lot of it, so they find ways to do so. For others, having psr might be a good excuse not to have to spend too much money or even run the club on profits.

Agreed, it just makes a mockery of it all anyway. Chelsea are always the first club to do something first and by the time other clubs follow suit it’s too late.

They’re competing in European competitions so they come under UEFA financial fair play rules.
Chelsea shouldn't be allowed to play in europe next season, but we all know that money talks and they will find a financial settlement so that they can play in europe. Will be interesting to see what the pl think is fair value for their women football team...200 millions is a joke really.

It will be interesting to see how much they can get from it...we are probably a little bit better than them, at least in the woman league, so would be a great way to clear some of our psr losses. Unfortunately not so sure TFG would be interested in this as it could potentially means 200 to 300 millions psr room, which I am not sure they are prepare to spend
