but I think the compo is potentially worse than the penalty. We aren’t going to get exonerated when we’ve admitted the charge, so even if the right thing happens on the 10 point deduction, we aren’t going to be cleared.

I fully expect us to get a reduction on the 10 points, our case seems solid enough that with competent people, we make a dent.

Without a reduction, well we are in big, big trouble.

Our recent form has been great, but we enter a very busy Christmas period, when our squad lacking quality depth will be tested to its limit.

If they give us another penalty which pushed us into administration, then they know the government are going to step in. It would cause uproar and rightly so.

I have no faith in the government but no matter who is in power, they will get involved if the league are seen to make harsh decisions that result in a club going into administration.

My view is that it never matters what others do, only Everton are important, if we get enough points, the rest can do what they like.

We potentially could be in front of the commision again without any compo claims.
