6 + 2 Point Deductions

It's inconceivable that we won't get at least 5 back - it's priced in to the punishment.

Chances are we are already out of the zone, or at least still in touch, when the appeal is heard. Imagine the effect us suddenly getting 5-10 points back has on the others. Bigger than the effect some think us losing the 10 (for now) will have on us.

No, Burnley and Sheff Utd are deaf down, but we are one of the two favourites to go down with them: straight fight Everton v Luton and they have a 5 point advantage.

Tell me I'm wrong.
On the other side of it , usually at least one other team just above has a loss of form and gets dragged in.
Personally I don't see Luton lasting the pace either.
If there's 5 points rescinded and we possibly pick up a win ( Utd would be great ) it puts us in and around Bournemouth, Fulham & Forest plus Luton.

Plus there's a long , long way to go in this race.
Let's not kneejerk just yet.

There's some real garbage being written on this thread. It's November for heaven sake. We are 5 points behind Luton Town with a game in hand and some decent form, let's get a grip. Even without a win tomorrow, we're going to stay up with space between us and the rest. And that's without considering the very likely eventuality of a successful appeal against a ridiculously unfair PL penalty decision. It's only November for heavens sake!

And i reckon we will get a few of the 10 points back. No way they will keep it at 10 after the appeal with the amount of fume from all sides!

Sorry mate, we're down. The forum has spoken.

Yes there are poor sides in the league this year but a handicap of -10, if it stands, would have sent us down previous two seasons. There were poor sides relegated in those two seasons as well. Lots of work to do

Apologies if it's already been mentioned, but if so it deserves to be repeated.
A fabulous article by Martin Samuel in the Times titled "Premier League has turned lawyers and accountants into its stars" including the phrase' football’s bent'!
Go read it.
it’s behind a paywall mate, I’m too tight to pay for that.

I accept what you say about a team falling like a stone, but this is not knee-jerk.
