6 + 2 Point Deductions

It’s Richard Masters’s great gift to the nation. He’s given us the weekend back. Now that football’s bent, no need to tune in, or go, at all. You can crack on with those jobs that need doing around the house.
Who won? Who cares? The result is only a basis for negotiation....
Like the league table.
It’s some leap, from best to bent, but the Premier League has made it....We thought we had to wait for the government regulator to turn up and kill the competition, but the league have done it all by themselves...
But Everton broke the rules. Well, yes they did, but no they didn’t...Yet the profit and sustainability rules are a false construct, shaped by the richest and most powerful so they stay at the top and keep the upstarts down.

it’s behind a paywall mate, I’m too tight to pay for that.

My 82 year old Grandad started watching Everton in 1949, he’s seen it all, he’s seen Everton in Division 2, he’s seen League winning sides, spanning different decades, the legends who’ve graced our club. To see him this week physically upset over what this corrupt shower of shobgites has done to us makes me proud to see the efforts of everyone involved in ensuring the EPL know they messed with the wrong fans.

The Masterplan.

Look at the teams they've played. Spurs, Liverpool, United.

Also, I look at their goals conceded column and it's respectable.

THAT keeps them in games and we need to be very aware of that.

Some of them lines could be on a banner.

Any had a look at the trolls on twitter? They're very uneducated Jeremy Hunts aren't they? All armed with 'you cheated' and stuff like that.
It's embarrassing.

I have no faith in the government but no matter who is in power, they will get involved if the league are seen to make harsh decisions that result in a club going into administration.
Worry is, in terms of getting points back, if these commissions really are independent, they have no fear or favour towards government regulation. Doesn’t affect them at all. Its been quite the stitch up by the league as they claim the use of independent commissions results in fair application of the rules. Really it’s perfect shield for them as they technically haven’t done anything to us at all other than refer us.

All our protests bear the PL logo (rightly so). But they didn’t decide our guilt, didn’t apply any penalty. It’s a wonder they haven’t leaked that they are surprised about the indignation from Everton fans toward them as it wasn't they who docked us 10 points.

They might have got away with it if they had ensured years ago that the PSR rules had a detailed calculation of punishments fully documented. And if they hadn’t tried to show power by “suggesting” a stupidly harsh punishment, and leaking it to show some teeth. No-one was expecting 10-points, but the media flipped weeks ago from a fine or suspended penalty to likely points penalty; even before the 12 point leak.

I do worry the PL are arrogant enough to just keep heads down and ride out the flak, whilst making it very known to the previous commission and appeals commission that it’s very important they aren’t seen to backtrack and embarrass themselves professionally - after all it wasn’t the PL’s decision.

10 wins and 4 draws from the last 26 games might well save us.

I just look at how difficult that task is though and I don't see us achieving it. I cant believe we perform the way we have been with a couple of injuries, which will come.

This isn't the 'theoretical' threat of relegation the points deduction was said to present anymore, it's highlighted how actual that threat is.

We desperately need those 3 points tomorrow.
