6 + 2 Point Deductions

Just mentioned this in the MSP thread, but MSP investors have been told by the Club that they believe the deduction will be reduced to 6 points.

….but the club didn’t think we’d get any deduction in the first place.

i actually wonder if the 10 will be reduced with the residue ‘suspended’ in case of a further breach. In effect, reduce to 6 but ‘suspend the 4’ in case of a further penalty.

No. We can’t let this become normalised. It’s still a completely disproportionate penalty.

We must continue to kick and scream about this, but no doubt our fanbase will bend over and be grateful and sink back into the usual malaise, enabling them to do whatever the hell they want to us going forward.

Depends if Forest get slapped too. You'd think 2 clubs keeping up the protests would continue the momentum

If Forest were also to be given a six point deduction, that would take them down to 18th on 14 points.

Our chances of avoiding relegation would be much increased in such circumstances.

We aren't going to whinge FFP out of existence, especially if Forest are also given a points deduction. It's more likely that a six point deduction becomes the norm for a FFP breach imo.

I think it should be six points or a minimum of five.

6 points would make no sense. You would still need some kind of calculation based on how much over the limit you are. If you over by a few millions vs you over by 10s of millions should carry very different point penalty.

Yeah I wouldn’t be putting much stock in what the club “believe” at this point.

Unless they’ve been told the outcome and the whole process is just for show, which given the farce the whole thing has been you can’t rule out.

We're probably conditioned now into treating any points back as a bit of a relief but truth be told 6 points would still be an absolute travesty.

I agree, 6 points is too little.
