Stadiums have no other purpose.

I was involved in some studies for legacy projects to Qatar's World Cup stadia. Nothing came close to working financially. It would be FAR cheaper to build on an empty site. They only way to make it work is to design a building specifically so it can be reconfigured afterwards. BMD was designed and built as a football stadium only.

My point is the land holds value if a potential buyer gets it cheap enough which is a possibility in these type of situations they could repurpose the stadium

We've signed a 99 year lease, which is contractual. There is no value in the land for anybody. Also, the lease has been signed on the basis of a stadium being built upon it, it can't be demolished and have a car park built.

One thing is certain, no big money has been placed on Everton to be relegated since all these “leaks”. Bookmakers don’t give money away so I find that encouraging.

I wouldn’t read too much into all of this. They’ll have suspended the odds overnight so they weren’t picked off by any breaking news, now someone’s in the office to monitor they’ll have put the odds back up. I don’t think there’s more to it than that.

You really can't. It's the one silver lining in all of this, that stadium is of no use to anyone except Everton.

It would be a risk for bookies anyway. Today's notice is only that of referral of clubs who are suspected of a breach, there will be no points deduction or whatever handed out. There is also no guarantee that any sort of points deduction will be handed out.

The relegation odds are back on 365 now, interesting that Forest are shorter than us now. Does this mean that they’ll be getting a deduction and we won’t? Whole thing is a mess.

Yeah I wouldn't base too much hope in the bookies odds. They usually have small print in certain markets anyway such as 'in event of points deductions in 2024 bet is void' or the like and they just refund the stake.

CBA checking but wouldn't surprise me as there's no way Forest would be anything like 4/1 for example without this.

This new points reduction is a non story just scaremongering and lets pick on Everton as they are the easy target, the media should be saying how has Moshiri & Kenwright let this club get into such a mess.
