They were until he announced it, then it became the reverse of what he said, that's how it works for him

To sum up:

  • 777 try to buy Everton with no cash
  • They can't close the deal in Q4 of 2023, so they borrow the money from a friend
  • They tank their largest source of cash, and their friend goes running to save his own business
  • The PL tells them they need to pay MSP back, they are surprised by this even though the debt was always due in April of 2024
  • They can't find the cash, they get an extension from MSP
  • They try to borrow the money, they can't
  • They use Moshiri to find another partner with cash, because they have none

This would make a great mini-series. It would be a tragedy/comedy.
What is even better is that the scrutiny they received trying to buy us has scuppered their largest source of cash. So they are now cashless
Some kind of reverse Midas touch we have

Boring at ridiculous at this point, and the Premier League have managed & perpetuated the whole fiasco, which is hilarious.

Screaming out for independent regulation.
I hate defending them but within the powers they have the PL have done nothing wrong. The conditions imposed are fair and necessary for the club’s long term protection. If 777 can’t satisfy the requirements that’s entirely on them and Moshiri.

Can we be owned by whoever it is that is loaning them the money to loan to us?

Well yes technically, they can purchase the club and get PL approval.

Can they call in the loan and take the shares as collateral? No, I don't see how, 777 don't own the club (collateral).
