And there he is, getting himself into a national newspaper, creating a dangerously negative perception about the club that could put off potential investors, potential signings and potential commercial partners, and cause fear and alarm across the whole fanbase, and more importantly in hundreds of staff who will be more worried than ever about their jobs, all based on what is, after all, one man's opinion of a situation he doesn't have full insight into.

But he doesn't care about that because he got himself in the paper.

A respected financial specialist!

He’s an armchair accountant who doesn’t know the difference between debt and equity.

While I find holes in his logic, no investor is being scared off by his opinion.
Very true. But no agent looking after the welfare of his/her client suggests signing a new contract at a club with that sort of narrative doing the rounds.

It is only a self obsessed bloke rambling on X for clicks and may have little effect. But if I was Dom’s agent sat reading that paper, I’d be straight on the blower to the club. Who would go 🤷‍♂️. At best it’s unhelpful, so should be watered down until the facts emerge.

dangerously negative?
Folks, am I missing the positives?
Is there something I’ve missed?
It's dangerously negative because he's painted the worst case scenario as the most likely scenario, and now that's being repeated as gospel in multiple national newspapers. A perception of imminent insolvency potentially inhibits the club doing business and could even become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I think he should measure his words more carefully, but then measured words don't get you in the papers.

lol lol so 'The Esk' gets himself quoted in the Telegraph and Daily Mail (very Tory behaviour) article both highlighting MSP and Andy Bell interest.

But says he has not involvement with those parties. lol
