Anyone coming in to Palace to buy his majority shareholding will need to pass it before the purchase is completed...

OADT 8-12 weeks... if he can sell tomorrow and everything goes through fine he can buy from Moshiri in August/September time at a minimum.
But anyone else coming into Everton would take the same amount of time. Nothing’s going to complete quickly either way.

My guess is he has gone public because he knows he’s not the quickest solution but wants to position himself as the best solution (and we’ve yet to hear any better ones). It’s a “wait for me” plea.

IMO if it was the best solution we’d find ways to bridge to him coming in. Either Moshiri could do it himself or MSP could take their 51% with an agreement to sell on to Textor after selling his Palace stake.

I’m not saying he is the best outcome but if it’s what the parties want they’ll find a way.

It could take years for him to sell his overpriced Palace holdings.

Why ?
London club
established in the prem
Well run
Some cracking young players
Maybe the other Palace owners might want more of the club.
Ground might be a bit of an issue
But as a plaything for a rich person it has a lot going for it

The reason MSP got involved in all this is they wanted a minority stake in a PL club. Maybe this is their big chance.

Is there anything out there confirming how much he actually wants for it?

If it was an easy sell he wouldn't be begging people to buy it. It would already be sold.

It could take 2 weeks or it could take him 2 years. We need somebody willing to step in on Saturday.

Well it’s all about what price he’d be willing to take of course but when he reportedly only paid 116m for 45% you’d think he could get a profit AND a quick sale if he really wanted.

Like I say, if Textor wants full control and responsibility for a club and MSP want a quiet minority stake in a club then they have something to offer each other.

Minority stakes in particular are awkward sales. It's one thing if it's a single share of a club like Everton, but a substantial minority stake is often tough to move at its value.

Someone on ESPN put it well the other day with respect to NFL franchise minority stakes. That kind of stake is only marketable to billionaires and private equity. A billionaire is used to being fawned over as the center of attention, but a minority stake doesn't offer that. This is why the NFL is looking at letting private equity in for minority stakes. It's an easy way to boost franchise values, by widening their available ownership market.

Private equity will always be willing to buy at the right price, but getting top dollar from them is harder. Textor may not want control of Everton enough to take a lowball offer, or he may not be able to swing a purchase without getting value for his Palace shares. It could also be that Moshiri is still that guy the realtor is begging to come down on an unrealistic list price after months of refusing to budge.

Maybe MSP take full control in the interim and sell on when he is clear to invest, given him more time to sell and not under pressure.
Can't believe he is just putting his name in the hat without have a way to do it?

Reading the various reports this seems to be the plan, MSP/Bell and Downing for a holding period then him further down the line. However this just him and we only know this as he went blabbing to the Athletic about it. There are said to be other interested parties and we know nothing of them (it's believed there are 2)

Hopefully we find out soon enough , fed up with all this now,
Be nice to just talk about who we are getting in or selling, not ownership or pionts deductions for a change.

This. The club is only talked about regarding ownership/deductions and finances these days. The actual football side of things is a side issue.
Hard to believe we're actually moving home in a year, almost lost in all the above. Depressing.

Yeah he’s downplaying his chances but these guys have egos and he wouldn’t be publicly saying he wants something if he was doomed to fail. He’ll be used to getting what he wants.

Well he must have some exit strategy or he wouldn't be wasting his time going to Spain to meet Moshiri and co.
Maybe the others at Palace are taking up his share?
They have passed the Premier league tests.
Don't know what's going on but if he did come would expect him to be part of a group.
Maybe the meeting was to see if he could fit into a group looking to buy us.
I have got a feeling we will still have Moshiri having some shares at the end of all this.
Do you have definitive proof this is true?
