There seems to be a lot going on with this sale. Do 777 have the funds,? In a way the US is awash with money that wants to speculate. They may do what FSG did, and get rich individual investors to plough money in. With the Wrexham thing, football in this country is seen as romantic and showbizzy, which can attract attention and funds. Or they may get big financial institutions interested.
The one thing in their favour is that they reside and have their money in the US. As I can't see the premier League wanting to damage a US owned business with a points deduction over FFP. They'd more than likely take the prem to a US court on restraint of trade or some such legality. I think Chelsea got assurances from the premier League, that they wouldn't penalise them over FFP due to Abramovich's debt. So in the short term, I think we'll be safe and maybe that's why Moshiri is selling now and doesn't want to gamble with the FFP investigation outcome.
777 will add to the already American controlled premier League. Which I think will push for a different TV individual clubs TV deal and a greater push for a Euro Super League as envisaged by LFC, Arsenal and Manu's owners. They'll have more owners that are offay with a US style sports commerce process. At least we'll be in the gang and may get some benefits.
Or we could just play in the 777 international cup with all their other owned clubs.

This is all very depressing. A terrible owner cutting his losses by selling to another terrible owner.

That said, the statements released by the shareholders group are absolutely pathetic.

Crying about only getting a few minutes notice? WTF lads. Every single supporter knew that Moshiri was talking to these lads and everyone has been waiting for confirmation.

Then crying about the announcement being before an important game. WFT lads???? We play important games every few days till May. Are they suggesting we shouldn’t have been informed till next June?

Sometimes I think the only people with less intelligence than the people who run the club are the people who promote themselves to the position of our most important fans.

Problem is that minimal investment in the squad equals playing Russian roulette with relegation. As we’re now seeing.

True, but it doesn´t take much to make sure we don´t go down. 1-2 or two reasonalbly good players are enough. When Beto goes in a couple of seasons they´ll replace him. If Pickford goes they´ll replace him. etc etc.

I think the source of money is a diminishing issue now. EVERY club that's decent size have their odious connections.

It's why these will sail through the checks for the league.

They'll have the funds or proof of them. You don't send out of statement and point out the deal will sort the funding of stadium out etc if it wasn't.

Where it's from, other than Russia or North Korea, the league will not be fussed.

I'd have ethical concerns rather than financial ones , not all American owners are sketchy like the one at bournemouth who has actually splashed some cash into the club not sovereign state money but a decent amount and that's all I want from an owner, some financial stability and a modicum of competence which I'm dubious about in regards to 777
Competence / experience was my biggest concern with 777. As I posted above they do seem to have brought some experienced football people in to run their football division. I don't think you're going to see Wander barreling around like a budget Boehly or a mini Moshiri. If they just let the football people in their own central department and at the individual clubs do their jobs they'll be fine.

I dont think this deal happens personally without a co-investor.

However I will state this, the multi club model is something which is going to get bigger and bigger, I would prefer it to be a city group Everton owned one, but we aren't getting a sheik or state buying us yet.

What I do want is, people who are extremely business savvy, people who are involved in sports and people who know football. We dont have any of this except for "let's keep bill because he's a good negotiator".

Proper football people with a proper plan would be nice.

Having the advantage of potentially picking the best talent from a group of clubs is something we should look to leverage, including selling/loaning our players out.

Football will end up regulating against it, IMO.

If this goes through the question is whomever is funding this endeavor for 777, as they absolutely don't have the financial capacity to orchestrate this takeover themselves, is will their benefactors provide resources beyond the acquisition of the club?

I think just the removal of Moshiri will help us bringing in certain deals. I think a lot of people simply do not want to do business with him given the stench of Usmanov, it's just too risky.
Not really sure about that. Moshiri has other business interests aside from Everton and there's plenty of people who do business with him. Football is about money and if people think they can make money from it or from Everton, then they will do business with anyone.
