As painfully predictable, the stability term is already out in force . Again. Here is Kenwright after sacking Walter Smith during yet another relegation battle.

We are not Man United, we do not have a huge income outside of what is earned from gate receipts and television.

We have been battling relegation for three years and no sign that will change anytime soon, no investor is going to earn pots of money from Everton in our current state, furthermore, if we do get relegated then they are facing a capital loss as well as no return on investment.

I don't honestly understand how Everton can be seen as a money pit for anyone for a long time.

Making the club successful is the only hope they have of making any return.
Yep. Something many on here don't understand.
We have no profits for an owner to syphon off.
They also have to bear in mind P&S and FFP.

I think they have 2 options. Invest and attempt to get us up the table and make us a better proposition for somebody else to come and buy us, and make a profit that way.
Or 2 use the multi club thing, get talented players from say Germany, Belgium etc, and convince them they have a path to the PL if they sign for say Hertha etc. Then sell to us and we sell on to bigger teams. Plus utilise loans between all the clubs to get players experience, especially our youngsters, so their value may go up.

We simply did not make any money, for them to take. They can't just load debt on to us, because of things like FFP

Whatever is happening, or will happen, the bottom line is that the 11 players on the pitch have got to start to deliver, and begin winning games to drive us up the Prem. It is that which did not happen in the last couple of seasons that causes all of the angst among us supporters. Get it right on the pitch and we don't give a toss about what happens upstairs...

He's describing the phenomenon that gutted NASCAR. In chasing the global fanbase to fill Bruton Smith's ever-growing stadium capacities, NASCAR drove out their long-term fans who were there for a very different experience. Those people didn't come back when the flavor-of-the-month people moved on.

Wrexham can sell that story, but they will have to make progress to keep selling it. Perhaps Manchester United, the RS and Chelsea can commodify their global fanbases, in the sense that they can spread out the pain by skimming a little extra from a whole lot of wealthy, itinerant 'fans' who aren't season-ticket holders and don't spend much money on the club. That's hard for a club with a long-time, hardcore base of mostly localized support to do, though. They see the changes, and quickly realize the club is trying to turn them into ATMs.

The recognition that it's hard to get serious fans to break up with a club is accurate, but marriages fail all the time, so obviously it can be done. If the argument is, "If you want us to be successful, you need to get rich and give us all your money," the counterargument is, "If we did that, we would just pool our resources and buy the club from you scumbags instead."

Read this off another site, it's just opinion, this guy thinks that maybe Moshiri felt betrayed by Rights and Media stopping the 25% investment into Everton by MSP, maybe Kenwright is involved with R&H, I'm unsure. But then went out and sold us to 777, who have a chequered history to say the least as revenge. No comment again off Kenwright just yet, what is going on behind the scenes at our club. Will 777 have to pay back the loan to MSP and the £200m loan to R&H ? What a mess. Will R& M step in again and stop 777 ? Long way to go with this it seems.

Is that but as a fanbase we all kno to much about the fanacial side of the game now because of this board. We all just want see changes so we can be run like a prem club, will be great to start winnning games again getting us up the league. But we need to be putting in a structure so we can build so we can bring in money, help improve team and create oathways into the team for younger players to be in the first team or sold

Agree with all you say re the backstage organisation (or more precisely, the lack of it in recent years). All that one can hope for is that the on-pitch performances take us to safety, and that, in turn, hopefully brings a more stable scenario with regard to the running of the club. I believe that is what we all hope for...

Good to see his friends in the press turning against him, far too late mind, wonder where they have got this new found resolve from, the mind boggles. Thanks but too little too late.
Hunter has spent all his time attacking Everton managers on behalf of the board....same as the feller who's praising him there, McNulty, when he was at the Echo and was Johnson's poodle.

So to sum up...
They're basically buying The Whole 'kin Club on similar sort of terms we bought Beto for...just on a massive scale
hahaha, I think the Beto deal is fine cause they are guaranteed payments backed by Premier League or UEFA rules.

What I fear is different. Consider the case of Beto themselves, for instance, if the first payment for the deal is 4m say.

(Although this is not possible...)

Then the new owners would go along these lines and say, "Do you trust Beto, do you like him to do well? We want you to encourage him to get to 20 goals this season. We want you to spend a tenner and send a message of encouragement to him, and fifty pounds get you a five-second video. When he hits the mark, we will give you an equivalent discount on club merchandise.".
Say they have around 2m collected this way. In the event that Beto hits 20 goals and they return the 2m, then the value of Beto as a striker would be worth the outlay of 4m as the market value would skyrocket, and if Beto doesn't they only need to pay 2m with the fans fronting the other 2m at which point of time, the 2m would be an accurate market evaluation thereby protecting their investment on the club.
