The thing with selling a player, braithwaite in this case, buys you a bit of time. It will eventually catch up with you.

There comes a point where the seller says to the buyer, show us your money or on you go.

The seller then has to look at other potential buyers. Then the sale price.

You can keep selling players to keep the lights on for so long. You either run out of players to sell and or you get relegated.

The fact 777 are not the owners of Everton yet suggests things behind the scenes are not going to well.

Moshi has been very very quiet of late. Sweating a bit I'd imagine.

It makes you wonder how much longer we can keep juggling the hundreds of balls in the air before one drops and brings the whole lot down.

The United deal seems to be taking just as long.

Onana and DCL (18 months on contract) would surely be sold before Branthwaite especially as the latter will likely double in value by summer of 2025

Yeah it's a bit weird that one, Ratcliffe was supposed to be in and started a week ago last Monday and unlike 777 he certainly doesn't have money worries. I wonder if it's more to do with him just getting his team together, there has been some suggestions of Dan Ashworth switching to them but he will only do it if he is left to his own devices and wants no overhead interference.

can’t ratcliffe by us as just a toy

If true (and I haven't seen it reported elsewhere, though I don't speak freaky deaky Dutch) that's 2 now.

Madness.
Standard de liege is actually in Wallonie, so they speak French. From what I gather it seems that there has been delays in payments to players which has triggered a potential transfer ban imposed by the belgian fa. Saying that the situation should be resolved today with all the money due paid, so not sure about the transfer ban (if still applicable or not). They missed a deadline...it seems to me that they are running a dangerous business model with just in time liquidity.
