would you recommend we do a Leeds and enter Administration before the end of March 2024 or wait till after the season has ended. If we do it before the end of March 2024 then the -9 points would apply to this season. If we do it at the end of the season and stay up then we would start next season on -9 points.
If we get another -10 and relegation looks likely we would definitely want it applied this season. Start in the Championship with a clean slate, and no squad...

If we stay up then we may well get a third charge next season, followed by administration if we don't get bought out. Bugger.

recommend not doing either but if it does happen I’m not sure we would have a say when it happened tbh.

Is there a scenario where these guys fail the fit and proper persons test and instead we get someone more credible/solvent who squeezes Moshiri on price. Or is cash flow so shafted we're doomed?

Yes. Administration is still not all that likely imo. If construction on the stadium stopped, then I'd start to worry.

So administration now likely, there is no chance this 777 lot will get approved based on rumours and reports in the press.

Extremely worry times and I would say our darkest hour in our 146 year history.

Good morning folks

Based on what? Who's putting us into Administration?

Yes, in fact it’s probably almost certain that would happen. However, that doesn’t fit the doomsday all-encompassing misery scenario that our fans for some reason just love wallowing in, so WE’RE GOING INTO ADMINISTRATION.

If 777 fails and somehow there’s absolutely no other willing buyer anywhere in the world, then Moshiri will actually have to dip his hand into his own pocket for the first time in his life and fund the business he owns. That comes before administration.

The PL incompetence again on display by flip flopping on 777 and letting it drag on until they get bored and turn a blind eye and pass them through.

You look at the Reading situation and think the league would have learnt its lesson about letting in buyers with track records of leaving clubs in financial difficulties / missing payments but apparently not !

Thanks. For all the current erm 'noise' there still seems to me to be an attractive asset in Everton for the right price. Just wasn't sure on timescales and how close to the brink we are.

If we were in a true cash shortage, we would stop funding the stadium and put that money towards operating and financing costs due.

An insolvency happens because a business cannot meet its short term commitments (trade payables, interest payments, debt payments). It little to do with the amount of debt we have or financial accounting losses.

What does this even mean?

I can't help but think the Premier League are dragging their heels over 777 to make their prosecution of our PSR breach simpler.

They've already established our owner being wealthy means a fine isn't suitable. They'd have to re-open that judgement if our owners changed.
